وفي 6 أيار/مايو، قدم رؤساء الهيئات الفرعية الثلاث، في أثناء مناقشة مفتوحة عقدها المجلس، إحاطة إلى المجلس بشأن عملها خلال الأشهر الستة الماضية وجهودها في سبيل تحسين التنسيق فيما بينها وفيما بين أفرقة الخبراء التابعة لكل منها.

2- وعلى حين أن تنمية الموارد البشرية لغرض خدمات الدعم التجاري أساسية بالنسبة لجميع البلدان النامية يمكن لأقل البلدان نمواً أن تستفيد استفادة أكبر نسبيا من الاجراءات ذات العلاقة وخاصة من الاجراءات التعاونية التي تتخذ فيما بينها وفيما بين البلدان الأخرى.

Congratulates the States parties and signatories to the treaties of Tlatelolco, Rarotonga, Bangkok and Pelindaba, as well as of Central Asia and Mongolia, for their efforts to pursue the common goals envisaged in those treaties and to promote the nuclear-weapon-free status of the southern hemisphere and adjacent areas, and calls upon them to explore and implement further ways and means of cooperation among themselves and their treaty agencies;
