83. The realization of the right to development requires international cooperation based on full respect for the principles of international law concerning friendly relations and cooperation among States in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations.
٨٣ - وإعمال الحق في التنمية يتطلب الاضطلاع بتعاون دولي يقوم على الاحترام الكامل لمبادئ القانون الدولي فيما يخص علاقات الود والتعاون فيما بين الدول وفقا لميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة.

That was the general principle of self-determination, as embodied in the Charter of the United Nations, the International Covenants on Human Rights, the Declaration on Principles of International Law concerning Friendly Relations and Cooperation among States in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations, and as confirmed most recently in the World Summit Outcome.

International support for national efforts to promote a favourable political and legal environment must be in conformity with the Charter of the United Nations and principles of international law and consistent with the Declaration on Principles of International Law concerning Friendly Relations and Cooperation among States in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations.
" ١٧ - وينبغي أن يكون الدعم الدولي للجهود الوطنية الرامية الى تعزيز بيئة سياسية وقانونية مواتية متفقا مع ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة، ومبادئ القانون الدولي، وبما يتمشى مع اﻹعلان الخاص بمبادئ القانون الدولي المتعلقة بالعلاقات الودية والتعاون فيما بين الدول وفقا لميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة.
