2. The report was prepared in response to paragraph 7 of General Assembly resolution 60/256 of 8 May 2006, in which the Secretary-General was requested to present, by the second part of its resumed sixtieth session, a more detailed business analysis on the possibility of constructing a new permanent building on the North Lawn.
