41. The Sixth Review Conference encouraged States Parties to take necessary measures to promote awareness amongst relevant professionals of the need to report activities conducted within their territory or under their jurisdiction or under their control that could constitute a violation of the Convention or related national criminal law. 41- وشجع المؤتمر الدول الأطراف على اتخاذ التدابير اللازمة لتعزيز الوعي بين المهنيين المختصين بالحاجة إلى تقديم تقارير عن الأنشطة التي تنفذ داخل إقليمها أو في إطار ولايتها أو تحت إشرافها والتي يمكن أن تشكل انتهاكاً للاتفاقية أو للقانون الجنائي الوطني ذي الصلة. [VI.IV.15]

172. Encourages States, either individually or through regional fisheries management organizations and arrangements, as appropriate, to identify any spawning and nursery areas for fish stocks under their jurisdiction or competence and, where required, to adopt science-based measures to conserve such stocks during these critical life stages;
172 - تشجع الدول على القيام، منفردة أو عن طريق المنظمات والترتيبات الإقليمية المعنية بإدارة مصائد الأسماك حسب الاقتضاء، بتحديد مناطق تفريخ السمك ومناطق تربية الأرصدة السمكية الواقعة في إطار ولايتها أو نطاق اختصاصها، واتخاذ إجراءات تستند إلى أساس علمي، حيثما لزم الأمر، لحفظ هذه الأرصدة خلال هذه المراحل الحاسمة من حياتها؛

Moreover, principle 2 of that Declaration reiterated the common conviction that States had the responsibility to ensure that activities within their jurisdiction or control did not cause damage to the environment of other States or of areas beyond the limits of national jurisdiction.
