1 - يقدم المتعاقد فورا إلى الأمين العام تقريرا خطيا، باستخدام أنجع الوسائل، عن أي حادث ينشأ عن أنشطة تسببت في إلحاق ضرر جسيم بالبيئة البحرية أو تتسبب في ذلك أو تهدد بإحداثه.

3 - يخطر المنقب الأمين العام خطيا على الفور، وبأكثر الوسائل فعالية، بأي حادث ناجم عن التنقيب تسبب في إلحاق ضرر جسيم بالبيئة البحرية أو يتسبب فيه أو يمكن أن يتسبب فيه.

2. Any coastal State which has grounds for believing that any activity in the Area by a contractor is likely to cause serious harm or a threat of serious harm to the marine environment under its jurisdiction or sovereignty may notify the Secretary-General in writing of the grounds upon which such belief is based.
2 - لأية دولة ساحلية لديها من الأسباب ما يجعلها تعتقد أن من المحتمل أن يتسبب أي نشاط للمتعاقد في المنطقة في إلحاق ضرر جسيم بالبيئة البحرية الواقعة تحت ولايتها أو سيادتها أو يمكن أن يتسبب فيه أن تخطر الأمين العام كتابيا بالأسباب التي يستند إليها هذا الاعتقاد.

6.2 The Contractor shall promptly report to the Secretary-General any incident arising from its activities that has caused, is causing or poses a threat of serious harm to the marine environment.
6-2 يقدم المتعاقد إلى الأمين العام فورا تقريرا عن أي حادث ينشأ عن أنشطته ويكون قد تسبب في إلحاق ضرر جسيم بالبيئة البحرية أو يتسبب فيه أو يمكن أن يتسبب فيه.
