It wished to urge the Director-General to engage in dialogue with interested countries with a view to maximizing the utilization of existing sources of funding, such as the United Nations Trust Fund for Human Security, in order to promote UNIDO activities in countries emerging from crisis situations.

The Russian Federation fully supported the involvement of UNIDO in post-crisis industrial rehabilitation, provided that such activities were conducted in strict conformity with the Organization's mandate and the terms of General Conference resolution GC.10/Res.6 on UNIDO activities in countries emerging from crisis situations.
