The purpose of IMIS, the first phase of which was approved by the General Assembly in section XII of its resolution 43/217 of 21 December 1988, is to develop an integrated system for the processing of, and reporting on, administrative actions at all major duty stations.
١ - الهدف من نظام المعلومات الادارية المتكامل، الذي وافقت الجمعية العامة على المرحلة اﻷولى منه في الجزء الثاني عشر من قرارها ٤٣/٢١٧ المؤرخ ٢١ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٨٨، هو وضع نظام متكامل لتجهيز الاجراءات الادارية والابلاغ عنها في جميع مقار العمل الرئيسية.

While those three articles appear in Part XII of the Convention, they provide a relevant example of how this issue has been dealt with in other parts of the Convention.

Article 209 of the Convention (located in Part XII of the Convention) requires that international rules, regulations and procedures shall be established in accordance with Part XI of the Convention, and re-examined from time to time as necessary, to prevent, reduce and control pollution of the marine environment from activities in the Area.

The General Assembly, in Part XII of its resolution of 23 December 1992, endorsed the proposal of the Secretary-General and relevant observations of ACABQ to the effect that if the IDEP's financial situation does not improve, consideration should be given to the inclusion of four posts concerned in the ECA programme budget for 1994-1995 biennium.
