The Ministry has set up an office to monitor violations in Abu Ghraib prison and some officials from the office have paid several visits to the prisoners to verify the conditions in the prison and the services and treatment that prisoners are receiving. 47 - ولا تزال الظروف في السجون العراقية مصدر قلق حسب التقارير الصادرة عن وسائط الإعلام وعدد من المنظمات غير الحكومية الدولية، التي تتضمن ادعاءات بتعرض المحتجزين للتعذيب وسوء المعاملة.

Iraqi-CHR reported that torture and inhuman treatments are widely and systematically practiced in Iraqi prisons.
