2. Decides, in accordance with paragraph 9 of Article 8 of the Convention, to recommend to the Conference of the Parties that it consider listing hexabromobiphenyl in Annex A of the Convention without specific exemptions.
2 - تقرر، وفقاً للفقرة 9 من المادة 8 من الاتفاقية، أن توصي مؤتمر الأطراف بأن ينظر في إدراج سداسي البروم ثنائي الفينيل في المرفق ألف من الاتفاقية بدون إعفاءات معينة.

Concludes that countries may still need to make use of the exemption for brominated diphenyl ethers listed in Annex A to the Convention in accordance with the provisions of parts IV and V of that Annex;

In accordance with paragraph 9 of Article 8 of the Convention, the Committee decided to recommend to the Conference of the Parties that it consider listing hexabromocyclododecane in Annex A to the Convention with specific exemptions for production and use in expanded polystyrene and extruded polystyrene in buildings.

At its first meeting, the Committee considered five chemicals that had been proposed by Parties for listing in Annex A of the Convention:

In accordance with paragraph 9 of Article 8 of the Convention the Committee recommends to the Conference of the Parties to consider listing and specifying the related control measures of brominated diphenylethers (PBDEs) with four or five bromines in Annex A of the Convention, as described above.

Mr. Georg Becher, Norwegian Institute of Public Health, gave a presentation on the proposal by Norway for listing hexabromocyclododecane in Annex A of the Convention.

Taking note of the recommendation by the Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee to list pentachlorophenol and its salts and esters in Annex A to the Convention with specific exemptions for the production and use of pentachlorophenol for utility poles and cross-arms,
وإذ يحيط علماً بتوصية لجنة استعراض الملوّثات العضوية الثابتة بإدراج الفينول الخماسي الكلور وأملاحه وإستراته في المرفق ألف من الاتفاقية مصحوباً بإعفاءات محدّدة لإنتاج واستخدام الفينول الخماسي الكلور في أعمدة الخدمات والأذرع المستعرضة،()

Paragraph 2 (b) of Article 3 of the Stockholm Convention allows a party to export a chemical listed in Annex A to the Convention for which any production or use-specific exemption is in effect or a chemical listed in Annex B for which any production or use-specific exemption or acceptable purpose is in effect in three situations:

In paragraph 2 of the decision, the Committee decided to establish an ad hoc working group to review further the proposal to list lindane in Annex A to the Convention (UNEP/POPS/POPRC.1/8 and UNEP/POPS/POPRC.1/INF/8) and to develop a draft risk profile in accordance with Annex E.
