Expresses its support for the efforts of the Joint Special Representative of the United Nations and the League of Arab States to find a negotiated political solution to the Syrian crisis, and urges those countries with influence over the Syrian parties to take all measures to encourage the parties to negotiate constructively and on the basis of the call made in the Geneva communiqué for the formation of a transitional governing body;
15- يعرب عن دعمه للجهود التي يبذلها الممثل الخاص المشترك للأمم المتحدة وجامعة الدول العربية من أجل إيجاد حل سياسي متفاوض عليه للأزمة السورية، ويحث البلدان التي لها تأثير على الأطراف السورية على اتخاذ جميع التدابير لتشجيع هذه الأطراف على التفاوض البنّاء وعلى أساس النداء الصادر في بيان جنيف لتشكيل هيئة حكم انتقالية؛

Ultimately, these efforts to implement an inclusive, Syrian-led political transition were overcome by the dramatic change in the military situation on the ground, which shifted the focus of both parties away from the kind of political transition envisaged in the Geneva communiqué of 30 June and the six-point plan endorsed by the Security Council in its resolution 2042 (2012).
7 - وفي نهاية المطاف، طغى على هذه الجهود الرامية إلى الاضطلاع بعملية انتقال سياسي شاملة للجميع بقيادة سوريِّة التغيير الجذري الذي طرأ على الوضع العسكري على أرض الواقع، والذي أدّى إلى صرف نظر كلا الطرفين عن نوع الانتقال السياسي المتوخى في بيان جنيف المؤرخ 30 حزيران/يونيه وفي خطة النقاط الست التي أقرها مجلس الأمن في قراره 2042 (2012).

We therefore call upon the international community to fulfil its obligations to restore peace and security in Syria by compelling the Syrian regime to agree to a political transition, as required by the Geneva Communiqué and Security Council resolutions 2118 (2013) and 2139 (2014).
وإننا في ضوء ذلك نناشد المجتمع الدولي أن يفي بالتزاماته بإعادة السلام والأمن إلى سورية عن طريق حَمل النظام السوري على الموافقة على فترة انتقال سياسي، على النحو المطلوب في بيان جنيف وقراري مجلس الأمن 2118 (2013) و 2139 (2014).
