Ms. Neubauer asked whether the programmes initiated to build the capacity of the Ministry of Gender and Development, as described in the State party's response to question 8 of the Committee's list of issues and questions, had adequately addressed the understaffing and shortage of resources mentioned in the report.
27 - السيدة نيوبوير: سألت عما إذا كانت البرامج التي بدأ تنفيذها لبناء قدرة وزارة شؤون المساواة بين الجنسين والتنمية، على النحو الوارد في رد الدولة الطرف على سؤال اللجنة رقم 8 في الأسئلة والقضايا، قد عالجت على النحو الكافي نقص الموظفين وقلة الموارد المذكورين في التقرير.

12. Turning to the issue of the situation of minority women, she noted that in the State party's response to the Committee's question No. 17 (CEDAW/PSWG/2005/I/CRP.2/Add.7, p. 12), it was stated that there was no discrimination based on ethnic origin in Turkey and that no data was collected based on ethnic origin.
12 - وانتقلت إلى مسألة وضع المرأة التي تنتمي إلى الأقليات، وأشارت إلى أنه في رد الدولة الطرف على سؤال اللجنة رقم 17 (CEDAW/PSWG/2005/I/CRP.2/Add.7، الصفحة 12 من النص الإنكليزي)، ذُكر أنه لا يوجد تمييز على أساس الأصل الإثني في تركيا ولا تُجمع أية بيانات على أساس الأصل الإثني.

In the circumstances, and in the absence of sufficient information in the State party's response about the measures taken by the authorities to investigate the claims made by the author's son, the Committee concludes that the facts before it amount to a violation of article 2, paragraph 3, read in conjunction with articles 7 and 14, paragraph 3 (g), of the Covenant.
