(c) Access of all people living in poverty to basic social services shall be ensured, as well as their participation in the economic, social, cultural and political life of society;
)ج( تُكفل إمكانية حصول جميع من يعيشون في فقر على الخدمات الاجتماعية اﻷساسية، فضلا عن مشاركتهم في حياة المجتمع الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية والسياسية؛

" (b) The eradication of poverty requires adopting measures to ensure that people living in poverty have access to the resources and opportunities necessary to escape from poverty, as well as measures to ensure that all members of society are protected from poverty that results from illness, loss of employment, natural disasters or other misfortunes;
" )ب( يتطلب القضاء على الفقر اعتماد تدابير تكفل إمكانية حصول الذين يعيشون في فقر على الموارد والفرص اللازمة للخلاص من الفقر، فضلا عن اتخاذ تدابير تكفل حماية كل أفراد المجتمع من الفقر الناجم عن المرض أو فقدان العمل أو الكوارث الطبيعية أو المصائب اﻷخرى؛

(b) Measures shall be adopted to ensure that people living in poverty have access to the resources and opportunities necessary to escape from poverty, and policies shall be adopted to ensure that all people have adequate economic and social protection during unemployment, ill health, maternity, child-rearing, widowhood, disability and old age;
)ب( تُعتمد تدابير تكفل إمكانية حصول الذين يعيشون في فقر على الموارد والفرص اللازمة للخلاص من الفقر، وتعتمد سياسات تكفل للجميع حماية اقتصادية واجتماعية كافية أثناء فترات البطالة، واعتلال الصحة، والولادة، وتربية اﻷطفال، والترمل، والعجز، والشيخوخة؛
