Nevertheless, my country, Senegal, remains deeply convinced that the Conference on Disarmament has a prominent role to play on this matter, and that is why our country remains in favour of establishing, in the Conference, an ad hoc committee on cessation of the nuclear arms race and nuclear disarmament as it appears in the draft programme of work for the Conference presented by the G.21.
ولكن ما زال بلدي السنغال مقتنعا كل الاقتناع بأن لمؤتمر نزع السلاح دورا هاما للغاية يجب أن يؤديه في هذا المجال، لذا فهو ما زال يؤيد فكرة القيام في إطار مؤتمر نزع السلاح بإنشاء لجنة خاصة معنية بوقف سباق التسلح النووي ونزع السلاح النووي كما ورد في مشروع برنامج عمل المؤتمر المقدم من مجموعة اﻟ١٢.
