٤٥ - وفيما يتعلق بالتكنولوجيا الجديدة المقرر استعمالها كوسيلة لتحسين اﻹنتاجية وخفض التكاليف، أحاط علما بالقلق الذي أعربت عنه الوفود لضمان التقيد الكامل بمبدأ المساواة في معاملة اللغات الرسمية في اﻷمم المتحدة.

Mr. Cardy (South Africa), speaking on behalf of the Group of 77 and China, said that the Group attached great importance to ensuring the equal treatment of the official languages of the United Nations, as well as the timely issuance of documentation, the provision of adequate conference facilities to Member States and the integration of information technology across duty stations.
