55- إن الحق في معرفة الحقيقة بشأن الانتهاكات الصارخة لحقوق الإنسان والانتهاكات الجسيمة للقانون الإنساني هو حق غير قابل للتصرف ومستقل ومعترف به في معاهدات وصكوك دولية متعددة وكذلك في الفقه القضائي الوطني والإقليمي والدولي وفي العديد من قرارات الهيئات الحكومية الدولية على المستويين العالمي والإقليمي.

International instruments and domestic law, and also domestic and international jurisprudence are all increasingly recognizing the right to the truth about gross human rights violations and serious violations of human rights law.
