On 1 February 2011, the Seabed Disputes Chamber delivered its first advisory opinion on the Responsibilities and obligations of States sponsoring persons and entities with respect to activities in the international seabed area.
وفي 1 شباط/فبراير 2011، أصدرت غرفة منازعات قاع البحار أول فتوى لها بشأن مسؤوليات وواجبات الدول الراعية للأشخاص والكيانات فيما يتصل بالأنشطة المُضطلَع بها في منطقة قاع البحار الدولية.

43. At that session, the Assembly adopted the draft regulations on prospecting and exploration for polymetallic sulphides in the international seabed area beyond the limits of national jurisdiction.
43 - واعتمدت الجمعية في تلك الدورة، مشروع الأنظمة المتعلقة بالتنقيب عن الكبريتيدات المتعددة الفلزات في منطقة قاع البحار الدولية خارج حدود الولاية الوطنية().

Important steps were taken at the ninth annual session of the Assembly of the Authority in relation to advancing discussions on regulations for prospecting and exploration of polymetallic sulphides and cobalt-rich crusts in the international seabed area, as well as in relation to conservation of biodiversity in the area.
وقد اتخذت إجراءات هامة في الدورة السنوية التاسعة لجمعية السلطة فيما يتعلق بدفع المناقشات المتعلقة بوضع لوائح تنظم عملية التنقيب عن مركبات الكبريت المتعددة المعادن والطبقات الغنية بالكوبالت في منطقة قاع البحار الدولية واستكشاف تلك الأشياء، وفيما يتعلق أيضاً بالحفاظ على التنوع البيولوجي في هذه المنطقة.

Annex III itself elaborates upon the provisions of article 153 of the Convention by describing the procedures by which States, state enterprises and other entities may apply for prospecting, exploration and exploitation in the international seabed area, the procedures for approval of plans of work and the basic legal and contractual conditions attached to such plans of work.
