Recalling its decision 10/21 of 31 May 1982, in which the Council adopted the Montevideo Programme for the Development and Periodic Review of Environmental Law, which provided the basis for the activities of the United Nations Environment Programme in the field of environmental law for the last decade,

UNEP observed that, in order to inform Governments and other relevant parties regularly about its activities in the field of environmental law, it had started issuing a Biannual Bulletin of Environmental Law, which contained information on UNEP's work on international legal instruments, in particular legislation, as well as information on recent activities of convention secretariats administered by UNEP.
٧٣ - وأشار برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة للبيئة الى أنه في سبيل إخطار الحكومات وسائر اﻷطراف ذات الصلة على نحو منتظم بشأن أنشطة في ميدان القانون البيئي فقد بدأ في إصدار " النشرة نصف السنوية للقانون البيئي " ، وهي تتضمن معلومات عن أعمال البرنامج فيما يتصل بالصكوك القانونية الدولية، ولا سيما التشريعات، كما تتضمن معلومات عن آخر ما تقوم به أمانات الاتفاقيات التي يديرها البرنامج من أنشطة.

By its decision 17/25 of 21 May 1993, the Governing Council adopted a new Programme for the Development and Periodic Review of Environmental Law and requested the Executive Director to implement it, within available resources, through preparing and disseminating analytical reports, organizing intergovernmental meetings, and contributing to capacity-building in the field of environmental law.
واعتمد مجلس الادارة، بمقرره ١٧/٢٥ المؤرخ ٢١ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٣، برنامجا جديدا في عام ١٩٩٣ لتطوير القانون البيئي واستعراضه دوريا، وطلب إلى المديرة التنفيذية تنفيذه، في حدود الموارد المتاحة عن طريق إعداد وتوزيع تقارير تحليلية، وتنظيم اجتماعات حكومية دولية، والمساهمة في بناء القدرات في ميدان القانون البيئي.

In his last report to the Human Rights Council, the Special Rapporteur on adverse effects of the movement and dumping of toxic and dangerous products and wastes on the enjoyment of human rights, Okechukwu Ibeanu, reviewed the scope of the mandate in respect of norms, standards and principles in the field of environmental law regulating production and management of dangerous products and wastes.
58- واستعرض المقرر الخاص المعني بالآثار الضارة لنقل وإلقاء المنتجات والنفايات السمية والخطرة على التمتع بحقوق الإنسان، السيد أوكيشوكوو إيبينو، في تقريره الأخير إلى مجلس حقوق الإنسان، نطاق الولاية الخاصة بالقواعد والمعايير والمبادئ المعتمدة في ميدان القانون البيئي الذي ينظّم إنتاج المنتجات والنفايات السمية والخطرة وإدارتها.

Its activities were carried out through the implementation of the Programme for the Development and Periodic Review of Environmental Law for the 1990s (Montevideo Programme II). The Programme was elaborated by Governments on the basis of relevant elements of Agenda 21, and adopted by the Governing Council of UNEP at its seventeenth session in May 1993 as the broad strategy for UNEP's work in the field of environmental law.
