Recognizing the need to support activities of the United Nations system in the field of science and technology for development and considering that the level of funding for science and technology as a generic field is limited, being only a small percentage of total United Nations system resources for development,
وإذ يدرك ضرورة دعم أنشطة منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة في ميدان تسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا ﻷغراض التنمية، واذ يرى أن مستوى التمويل من أجل العلم والتكنولوجيا بوصفهما ميدانا نوعيا هو مستوى محدود، إذ لا يشكل سوى نسبة صغيرة من مجموع موارد منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة المخصصة للتنمية،

3. Requests the relevant organizations, funds and programmes of the United Nations, in the spirit of coordination which should prevail in the actions of the United Nations system in the field of science and technology for development;
٣ - يطلب إلى منظمات اﻷمم المتحدة، وصناديقها، وبرامجها ذات الصلة القيام بما يلي بروح التنسيق التي ينبغي أن تسود أعمال منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة في ميدان تسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا ﻷغراض التنمية:

65. The main aspect of UNCTAD's work with regard to intergovernmental activities in the field of science and technology for development concerns the provision of secretariat services to the United Nations CSTD.
65- ويتعلق الجانب الرئيسي من عمل الأونكتاد فيما يخص الأنشطة الحكومية الدولية في ميدان تسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا لأغراض التنمية بتوفير خدمات الأمانة للجنة الأمم المتحدة المعنية بتسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا لأغراض التنمية.

(c) Generation of ideas by getting feedback on how to enhance the capability of UNCTAD and the Commission on Science and Technology for Development to address relevant issues in the field of science and technology for development.

Recognizes the role of the Commission in coordinating the activities of the United Nations system in the area of science and technology for development, emphasizes the importance of the activities that are to be pursued within the framework of the Commission, including a broad spectrum of new global challenges in science and technology, and encourages support to these undertakings;
٣ - تقر بالدور الذي تقوم به اللجنة في تنسيق أنشطة منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة في ميدان تسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا ﻷغراض التنمية، وتؤكد أهمية اﻷنشطة التي سيجري السعي لتحقيقها في إطار اللجنة، بما في ذلك طائفة واسعة من التحديات العالمية الجديدة في ميدان العلم والتكنولوجيا، وتشجع على دعم هذه المساعي؛

Recognizes the role of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development in coordinating the activities of the United Nations system in the area of science and technology for development, and emphasizes the importance of the activities that are to be pursued within the framework of the Commission, including a broad spectrum of new global challenges in science and technology, and encourages support to these undertakings;
" ٣ - تقر بالدور الذي تقوم به اللجنة المعنية بتسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا ﻷغراض التنمية في تنسيق أنشطة منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة في ميدان تسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا ﻷغراض التنمية، وتؤكد أهمية اﻷنشطة التي سيجري السعي لتحقيقها في إطار اللجنة، بما فيها طائفة واسعة من التحديات العالمية الجديدة في ميدان العلم والتكنولوجيا، وتشجع على دعم هذه المجهودات؛
