For the purposes of this Guide, the expression is meant to cover any transaction that starts out as a lease arrangement, but contemplates that the lessee will acquire ownership of the asset at the end of the lease period.

6. The general security rights registry recommended in this Guide is a limited purpose registry that focuses on the recording of security rights in movable property.
