In a communiqué issued after the meeting, the members of the Permanent Consultative Framework welcomed the validation by the Independent Electoral Commission of the final voters list, and the signing by President Gbagbo of a decree authorizing the distribution of national identity cards to the 5,725,720 persons on the final voters list.
