23. The Government of Mauritius indicated that chapter II of its Constitution provides for the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms of the individual, and also that human social responsibilities as referred to in Commission decision 2004/117 are codified in articles 725, 102-111 and 203-226 of the Civil Code.
