Abstracts Nos. 17 to 19 under the Case Law on UNCITRAL Texts (CLOUT) system were published8 to disseminate information on court decisions and arbitral awards relating to Conventions and Model Laws emanating from the work of the Commission.

The Commission noted with appreciation that since its twenty-eighth session in 1995 two additional sets of abstracts with court decisions and arbitral awards relating to the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration had been published (A/CN.9/SER.C/ABSTRACTS/7 and 8).

Pursuant to a decision by the Commission at its twenty-first session, in 1988, the Secretariat established a system for collecting and disseminating information on court decisions and arbitral awards relating to normative texts emanating from the work of the Commission (CLOUT). The features of that system are explained in the User Guide (A/CN.9/SER.C/GUIDE/1/Rev.1).
18- عملا بقرار اتخذته اللجنة في دورتها الحادية والعشرين المعقودة في عام 1988، اأنشأت الأمانة نظاما لجمع ونشر المعلومات عن قرارات المحاكم وقرارات التحكيم ذات الصلة بالنصوص المعيارية المنبثقة من أعمال اللجنة (نظام كلاوت).(24) ويرد شرح لسمات ذلك النظام في دليل المستعملين A/CN.9/SER.C/1/GUIDE/Rev.1)).

In addition, it was reiterated that the digests should present court decisions and arbitral awards in an objective way without any criticism or endorsement. It was also stated that the digest of case law on the Model Law should avoid paraphrasing and thus possibly misrepresenting provisions of the Model Law.
