Articles 16 and 17 of the draft penal code subject all persons (nationals of Qatar, residents and foreigners) present in the State to the jurisdiction of Qatar courts in respect of certain crimes including international terrorism, whether these crimes are committed inside Qatar or abroad.
وقد أخضع مشروع قانون العقوبات جميع الأشخاص (القطريين والمقيمين والأجانب) في حالة وجودهم في الدولة لاختصاص المحاكم القطرية بالنسبة لجرائم محددة من بينها الإرهاب الدولي سواء ارتكبت هذه الجرائم داخل قطر أو خارجها وذلك حسب المادتين (16 و 17) منه.

With regard to article 22 of the Convention, although the State of Qatar has not promulgated any national legislation regulating the status of refugee children, in principle it has no objection to the obligation to extend assistance to refugee children and to attempt to trace their parents if they are in Qatar or if the State has any information that might help the child in this connection.
156- وفي مجال إعمال المادة 22 من الاتفاقية، لا توجد في الوقت الراهن تشريعات وطنية تحكم وضع الطفل اللاجئ، ولكن دولة قطر لا تمانع من حيث المبدأ ومن منطلق التزاماتها من مد العون للطفل اللاجئ ومحاولة تعريفه بوالديه إن كانا في قطر أو كان لديها من المعلومات ما يفيد الطفل في هذ الشأن.

77. According to the Nationality Act, a naturalized Qatari is a person born in Qatar or abroad to a father who is a naturalized Qatari. A person of unknown parentage born in Qatar will be considered a naturalized Qatari and a foundling born in Qatar, unless otherwise provided in article 2 of the Act.
77- نص قانون الجنسية على أنه يعد قطرياً بالتجنس من ولد في قطر أو الخارج لأب قطري بالتجنس، ويكون في حكم المتجنس من ولد في قطر لأبوين مجهولين، ويعد اللقيط مولوداً في قطر ما لم يثبت العكس في المادة 2 منه.

55. If plans to allow the Taliban an " address " in Qatar or elsewhere come to fruition, the procedures for granting an exemption to the travel ban in support of Afghan peace and reconciliation will be tested.
