17. On 3 December 1999, the Security Council welcomed the designation at the eighth Arusha Regional Summit of Nelson Mandela as the new Facilitator for the Burundi peace process.
١٧ - وفي ٣ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٩٩، رحب مجلس اﻷمن بتعيين مؤتمر قمة أروشا اﻹقليمي الثامن للسيد نلسون مانديلا ميسرا جديدا لعملية السلام في بوروندي.

It also undertook further to respond positively should the regime enter into negotiations with all parties to the conflict in the context of the Second Arusha Regional Summit.
وتعهد أيضا بالاستجابة بقدر أكبر إذا ما دخل النظام في مفاوضات مع جميع أطراف النزاع في إطار اجتماع قمة أروشا اﻹقليمي الثاني.

I have the honour to transmit to you a copy of the official communiqué of the Fourth Arusha Regional Summit on the Burundi conflict, which met in the United Republic of Tanzania on Wednesday, 16 April 1997.
أتشرف بأن أحيل إلكيم نسخة من البلاغ الرسمي الصادر عن مؤتمر قمة أروشا اﻹقليمي الرابع المعني بالنزاع في بوروندي، الذي اجتمع في جمهورية تنزانيا المتحدة يوم اﻷربعاء الموافق ١٦ نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩٧.

The Council supports also the acceptance by the Arusha Regional Summit of the request by the Government of Burundi for security assistance in order to complement and reinforce the Mwanza peace talks as well as for creating conducive security conditions for all parties to participate freely in the Mwanza process.
كما يؤيد المجلس قبول مؤتمر قمة أروشا اﻹقليمي للطلب المقدم من حكومة بوروندي للحصول على مساعدة أمنية من أجل دعم محادثات السلام في موانزا وتعزيزها وكذلك من أجل تهيئة الظروف اﻷمنية المواتية لاشتراك جميع اﻷطراف بحرية في عملية موانزا.

8. The Summit emphasized that the central requirement of the Second Arusha Regional Summit was unconditional negotiation of all parties to the conflict and armed factions inside and outside the country.
٨ - وشدد اجتماع القمة على أن الشرط اﻷساسي لاجتماع قمة أروشا اﻹقليمي الثاني هو التفاوض غير المشروط بين جميع أطراف النزاع والفصائل المسلحة داخل البلد وخارجه.

10. The Summit was briefed by the Facilitator on the contacts and efforts he had made towards promoting negotiations since the Second Arusha Regional Summit.
١٠ - وأحاط القائم بمهمة تيسير المحادثات اجتماع القمة علما بالاتصالات والجهود التي قام بها من أجل تشجيع المفاوضات منذ اجتماع قمة أروشا اﻹقليمي الثاني.

5. The Central Organ fully supported the conclusions of the second Arusha Regional Summit and, in particular, appealed to the international community to lend its strong support for the speedy implementation of those decisions.
٥ - الجهاز المركزي يؤيد تماما نتائج اجتماع قمة أروشا اﻹقليمي الثاني ويناشد، بوجه خاص، المجتمع الدولي أن يدعم بقوة التنفيذ العاجل لتلك القرارات.

728. On 10 July, the OAU summit at Yaoundé expressed its support for the peace process initiated by President Nyerere at Mwanza and for the results of the Arusha Regional Summit of 25 June.
٧٢٨ - وفي ١٠ تموز/يوليه، أعرب مؤتمر قمة منظمة الوحدة اﻷفريقية المنعقد في ياوندي عن تأييده لعملية السلام التي حركها الرئيس نيريري في موانــزا، ولنتائج مؤتمر قمة أروشا اﻹقليمي الصادرة في ٢٥ حزيران/ يونيه.

The Council stressed its full support for the efforts of former President Nyerere, including the agreements reached at the Arusha Regional Summit of 25 June, and encouraged all parties to work in a constructive manner with Mr. Nyerere.
وشدد المجلس على دعمه التام لجهود الرئيس السابق نيريري، بما في ذلك الاتفاقات التي توصل إليها في مؤتمر قمة أروشا اﻹقليمي يوم ٢٥ حزيران/ يونيــه، وشــجع جميع اﻷطراف على التعاون بطريقة بناءة مع السيد نيريري.

7. The Regional Summit also took note of the exemptions already granted in respect of fertilizers and vegetable seeds in recognition of the steps taken by the Buyoya regime towards meeting the conditions set by the Second Arusha Regional Summit.
