3. Participation in the Second South Summit of the Group of 77

33. The potential of the UNCCD has been brought up in several other events, such as the Second South Summit of the Group of 77 and various regional conferences and summits relating to sustainable development.
33- وبُحثت إمكانات الاتفاقية في عدد من الأحداث الأخرى، مثل قمة الجنوب الثانية لمجموعة ال77، وفي مؤتمرات إقليمية ومؤتمرات قمة شتى تتصل بالتنمية المستدامة.

A case in point was the Second South Summit of the Group of 77, held in Doha in June 2005, which reaffirmed the importance of promoting multifaceted international cooperation between the North and the South.
وقد تجلى ذلك أكثر من مرة، ولعل آخرها قمة الجنوب الثانية التي انعقدت في الدوحة في حزيران/يونيه الماضي، وأكدت على أهمية تعزيز التعاون الدولي بين مختلف أطرافه في الجنوب والشمال.

In this regard, the South Fund for Development and Humanitarian Assistance established by the Second South Summit of the Group of 77 and China could greatly contribute to achieving the goals and objectives of South-South cooperation;
وفي هذا الصدد فإن باستطاعة صندوق الجنوب للتنمية والمساعدات الإنسانية الذي أنشأته قمة الجنوب الثانية لمجموعة الـ 77 والصين، المساهمة بشكل كبير في تحقيق الأهداف والغايات المتوخاة من تعاون الجنوب - الجنوب؛

In this regard, the South Fund for Development and Humanitarian Assistance established by the Second South Summit of the Group of 77 and China could greatly contribute to achieving the goals and objectives of South-South cooperation;
وفي هذا الصدد، فإن باستطاعة صندوق الجنوب للتنمية والمساعدات الإنسانية الذي أنشأته قمة الجنوب الثانية لمجموعة الــ 77 والصين، المساهمة بشكل كبير في تحقيق الأهداف والغايات المتوخاة من تعاون الجنوب - الجنوب.

They also invited Member States to host sectoral meetings in various fields of cooperation, including South-South forums for parliamentarians, mayors, youth, media and civil society and other thematic meetings as envisaged in the Doha Plan of Action adopted by the Second South Summit.
ودعوا الدولَ الأعضاء أيضا إلى استضافة الاجتماعات القطاعية المعنية بشتى ميادين التعاون، بما في ذلك منتديات بلدان الجنوب للبرلمانيين ورؤساء البلديات والشباب ووسائل الإعلام والمجتمع المدني، فضلاً عن الاجتماعات المواضيعية المزمع انعقادها في إطار خطة عمل الدوحة التي اعتمدتها قمة الجنوب الثانية.

كما نشير إلى اتفاق البلدان النامية في قمة الجنوب الثانية لمجموعة الـ 77 والصين، التي انعقدت في قطر، بالدوحة، في شهر حزيران/ يونيه الماضي، حيث رفضت القمة رفضا قاطعا فرض أية قوانين وأنظمة ذات آثار تتجاوز الحدود الوطنية.
