٤٧ - وفيما يتعلـق بمسألـة الحصـول على المعلومـات، أكـدت المنظمـات الحكوميـة الدوليــة والوكالات المتخصصة أن قواعد البيانات المحوسبة تؤدي دورا هاما في كفالة مشاركة المنظمات غير الحكومية من جميع أنحاء العالم.

5. In its resolution 1993/56 of 29 July 1993, the Economic and Social Council reiterated the high priority it attached to easy, economical, uncomplicated and unhindered access for Member States to the growing number of computerized databases and information systems and services of the United Nations.
٥ - وفي القرار ١٩٩٣/٥٦ المؤرخ ٢٩ تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٣، كرر المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي تأكيد اﻷولوية العليا التي يوليها لوصول الدول اﻷعضاء بصورة سهلة واقتصادية وغير معقدة ودون عائق الى العدد المتزايد من قواعد البيانات المحوسبة ونظم وخدمات المعلومات في اﻷمم المتحدة.

1. Reiterates once again the high priority that it attaches to easy, economical, uncomplicated and unhindered access for States Members of the United Nations and Observers, as well as non-governmental organizations accredited to the United Nations, to the computerized databases and information systems and services of the United Nations;

English Page INTRODUCTION 1. Commencing with its 1991 session, the Economic and Social Council has been seized with the problems associated with easy, economical, uncomplicated and unhindered access to United Nations computerized databases and information systems and services.
١ - ما برح المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي يتناول، ابتداء من دورته لعام ١٩٩١، المشاكل المتصلة بتيسير سبل الوصول على نحو سهل واقتصادي وغير معقد وبدون عائق الى قواعد البيانات المحوسبة وكذلك نظم وخدمات المعلومات في اﻷمم المتحدة.

3. After considering that report, the Economic and Social Council again stressed the priority it attached to the issues associated with access to United Nations information systems, and called for a phased programme, to be implemented within existing resources, to achieve access to computerized databases and information systems and services.
٣ - وبعد أن نظر المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في ذلك التقرير، أكد مرة ثانية اﻷولوية التي يوليها للقضايا المرتبطة بالوصول الى نظم معلومات اﻷمم المتحدة، ودعا الى وضع برنامج مقسم الى مراحل، ينفذ في حدود الموارد الموجودة، لتحقيق الوصول الى قواعد البيانات المحوسبة ونظم وخدمات المعلومات.

54. The goal of providing easy, economical, uncomplicated and unhindered access to United Nations computerized databases and information services and systems was seen as one that could be achieved through a phased programme.
٥٤ - إن الهدف المتمثل في توفير إمكانية استخدام قواعد البيانات المحوسبة وخدمات ونظم المعلومات التابعة لﻷمم المتحدة بصورة سهلة اقتصادية غير معقدة ودون عوائق قد نُظر إليه بوصفه هدف يمكن تحقيقه من خلال برنامج تدريجي.
