The State has the obligation to provide mechanisms for prevention of, and redress for any action which deprives them of their integrity as distinct peoples, or of their cultural values or ethnic identities; or of dispossessing them of their lands, territories or resources.
ويجب على الدولة وضع آليات لمنع أي عمل يؤدي إلى حرمانها من سلامتها بوصفها شعوبا متميزة أو من قيمها الثقافية أو هوياتها الإثنية أو نزع ملكية أراضيها أو أقاليمها أو مواردها، وإتاحة سبل الانتصاف لها().

In this regard, States have a duty to provide effective mechanisms for the prevention of, and redress for, any action which has the aim or effect of " depriving them of their integrity as distinct peoples, or of their cultural values " or " dispossessing them of their lands, territories and resources " (art. 8(2)).
وفي هذا الصدد، يقع على الدول واجب توفير آليات فعالة لمنع أي عمل يهدف أو يؤدي إلى " حرمان الشعوب الأصلية من سلامتها بوصفها شعوبا متميزة أو من قيمها الثقافية " أو إلى " إلى نزع ملكية أراضيها أو أقاليمها أو مواردها " والانتصاف من ذلك (المادة 8 (2)).

It is important, also, to point out that the Declaration recognizes the right of indigenous peoples and individuals not to be subjected to forced assimilation or destruction of their culture and that States must provide effective mechanisms for preventing any action which has the aim or effect of depriving them of their integrity as distinct peoples, or of their cultural values or ethnic identities (Article 8).
