The Special Representative of the Commission on Human Rights on the situation of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. M. Copithorne, made a statement.
كوبيثورن الممثل الخاص للجنة حقوق اﻹنسان المعني بحالة حقوق اﻹنسان في جمهورية إيران اﻹسلامية.

The Chairperson and Mr. Copithorne would follow the evolution of the draft code, keep participants briefed and make proposals, as appropriate.
وقال إن الرئيس والسيد كوبيثورن سيقومان بمتابعة تطور مشروع المدونة واطلاع المشتركين عليه بصفة مستمرة وتقديم اقتراحات، حسبما يكون ذلك مناسباً.

48. Mr. Copithorne noted that on the question of insurance (paras. 71—73 of the revised manual), the manual should indicate that the matter continued to be under active discussion with the Office of Legal Affairs, and that readers should seek to ascertain the current status of the debate.
48- وأشار السيد كوبيثورن إلى أنه فيما يتعلق بمسألة التأمين (الفقرات من 71 إلى 73 من الدليل المنقح)، ينبغي أن يوضح الدليل أن المسألة ما زالت موضوع مناقشة نشطة مع مكتب الشؤون القانونية وأن على القرّاء أن يلتمسوا التحقق من الحالة الراهنة للنقاش.

(o) The meeting requested the Chairperson and Mr. Copithorne to follow the evolution of the draft code of conduct for experts other than Secretariat officials on mission;

250. For an in-depth analysis of the situation of human rights in Iran, the Special Rapporteur refers to the reports of the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Maurice Copithorne (A/51/479 and Add.1; E/CN.4/1997/63).
٠٥٢- وللاطلاع على تحليل متعمق لحالة حقوق اﻹنسان في ايران، يحيل المقرر الخاص الى تقارير المقرر الخاص المعني بحالة حقوق الانسان في جمهورية ايران الاسلامية، السيد موريس كوبيثورن )A/51/479 وAdd.1، وE/CN.4/1995/63(.

2. In compliance with this request, the attention of the Sub-Commission is drawn to the interim report which the Special Representative on the Situation of Human Rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Maurice Copithorne, submitted to the General Assembly at its fiftieth session (A/50/661, annex).
٢- وامتثالاً لهذا الطلب، يُسترعى انتباه اللجنة الفرعية إلى التقرير المؤقت الذي قدمه الممثل الخاص المعني بحالة حقوق اﻹنسان في جمهورية إيران اﻹسلامية السيد موريس كوبيثورن إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الخمسين )A/50/661، المرفق(.
