وإذ يكرر تأكيد الفقرة 5 من المقرر 7/م أ-16، التي حث فيها مرفق البيئة العالمية، بوصفه كياناً تشغيلياً للآلية المالية للاتفاقية، على زيادة تمويله للأنشطة المتصلة بالمادة 6 من الاتفاقية،

Parties in their submissions acknowledged that their overall experience with the Global Environment Facility was positive and that as an operating entity of the financial mechanism, it has made some progress in facilitating the implementation of the Convention, although the GEF climate change project portfolio is in the process of maturing.
11- سلَّم الأطراف فيما قدموه من تقارير ومواد بأن مجمل تجربتهم في العمل مع مرفق البيئة العالمية كانت تجربة إيجابية وبأن المرفق باعتباره كياناً تشغيلياً للآلية المالية قد أحرز قدراً من التقدم في تيسير تنفيذ الاتفاقية رغم أن مجموعة مشاريع المرفق في مجال تغيُّر المناخ لا تزال تسير نحو النضوج.

Requests the Global Environment Facility, as an operating entity of the financial mechanism of the Convention, to provide financial support to developing countries for the implementation of the technology transfer framework, and complemented by the set of actions referred to in paragraph 4 above.
