The President of the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention, Mr. Nicholas Kiddle (New Zealand) prepared the supplementary report on cooperation and coordination among the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions, dated 28 September 2006.

Mr. Wade introduced Mr. Nicholas Kiddle (New Zealand), outgoing President of the Conference of the Parties, who delivered an opening address and formally declared the meeting open.
وقام السيد وادى بتقديم السيد نيكولاس كيدل (نيوزيلندا) رئس مؤتمر الأطراف الذي انتهت رئاسته والذي ألقى كلمة افتتاحية ثم أعلن افتتاح الاجتماع رسمياً.

The Conference elected Mr. Thierno Lo (Senegal) as President of the Conference to replace Mr. Kiddle, whose term of office ended with the commencement of the current session in accordance with rule 22 of the rules of procedure.

The Conference elected Mr. Nicholas Kiddle (New Zealand) as President to replace Mr. Arana, whose term of office as President ended at the commencement of the second meeting of the Conference in accordance with rule 22 of the rules of procedure.

A contact group, chaired by Mr. Nik Kiddle (New Zealand) was set up by the Committee to begin to elaborate a list of concrete measures that could form the basis of concrete measures and to identify what was necessary and by whom, how and when specific measures would be undertaken.

Kiddle, in his capacity as president of the second meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention pursuant to decision SC-2/15 of the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention (document UNEP/FAO/CHW/RC/POPS/JWG.1/2).

At its third meeting the Conference asked the outgoing President, Mr. Nicholas Kiddle (New Zealand), to continue to serve on the Bureau as a VicePresident until the close of the meeting in order to ensure that there were two members of the Bureau from the Western Europe and others group after Mr. Kiddle completed his term as President;
وفي اجتماعه الثالث، كان المؤتمر قد طلب إلى الرئيس المنتهية ولايته، السيد نيكولا كيدل (نيوزيلندا)، أن يواصل العمل في المكتب كنائب للرئيس إلى حين انتهاء الاجتماع وذلك لضمان أن يكون هناك، بعد انتهاء ولاية السيد كيدل كرئيس، عضوان في المكتب من مجموعة أوروبا الغربية والدول الأخرى.
