It was recommended that UNODC work with the International Association of Prosecutors to develop training materials and good practices on how those standards could be applied to prosecution operations and practices.
وأُوصي بأن يعمل المكتب مع الرابطة الدولية لأعضاء النيابات العامة لوضع مواد تدريبية وممارسات جيدة بشأن كيفية تطبيق تلك المعايير على العمليات والممارسات المتعلقة بالملاحقات القضائية.

The conference, which dealt with the topic of witness assistance and protection, was co-hosted by the Office of Public Prosecution in Chile and the Ibero-American Association of Public Prosecutors, with support and expertise provided by UNODC.

The participants comprised representatives of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama and Peru, as well as the International Association of Prosecutors, the International Criminal Court and OAS.

THEREFORE the International Association of Prosecutors adopts the following as a statement of standards of professional conduct for all prosecutors and of their essential duties and rights:

Convinced that the Standards of Professional Responsibility and Statement of the Essential Duties and Rights of Prosecutors, developed by the International Association of Prosecutors, are complementary to the Guidelines on the Role of Prosecutors,

It was further underlined that both the Summit and the meetings of the International Association of Prosecutors fulfilled a productive role by bringing together prosecutors representing different legal systems and traditions, and by offering them the opportunity to share experiences and explore international best practices on the most challenging crime problems.
كما شُدِّد على أن كلاً من مؤتمر القمة واجتماعات الرابطة الدولية لأعضاء النيابات العامة يؤدي دوراً بناءً من خلال الجمع بين أعضاء نيابات عامة يمثلون شتى النظم والأعراف القانونية ومن خلال إفساح الفرصة أمامهم من أجل اقتسام الخبرات واستكشاف الممارسات الدولية الفضلى بشأن مجابهة أشق مشاكل الجريمة.

The Secretariat, which will be based in Bucharest, shall cooperate with UNODC, Chile and IAP in respect of the preparation of the fourth World Summit of Prosecutors General, Attorneys General and Chief Prosecutors.
وستتعاون تلك الأمانة، التي ستتخذ من بوخارست مقراً لها، مع مكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة ومع شيلي والرابطة الدولية لأعضاء النيابات العامة فيما يخص التحضير لمؤتمر القمة الرابع لرؤساء النيابة العامة.

WHEREAS the objects of the International Association of Prosecutors are set out in Article 2.3 of its Constitution and include the promotion of fair, effective, impartial and efficient prosecution of criminal offences, and the promotion of high standards and principles in the administration of criminal justice;

16. From 28 October to 1 November 2012, the Special Rapporteur attended the seventeenth Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors, held in Bangkok, and organized a panel discussion on the theme of the prosecution of organized crime.
16- وشاركت المقرّرة الخاصة في الفترة من 28 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر إلى 1 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2012 في المؤتمر السنوي والاجتماع العام السابع عشر للرابطة الدولية لأعضاء النيابات العامة المعقود في بانكوك، ونظمت حلقة نقاش بشأن موضوع ملاحقة مرتكبي الجريمة المنظمة.

The handbook's outline was discussed at the International Association of Prosecutors African and Indian Ocean Regional Conference in August 2012 and at the 17th Annual Conference of the International Association of Prosecutors from 28 October to 1 November 2012.
ونوقشت الخطوط العريضة للدليل في المؤتمر الإقليمي لأفريقيا والمحيط الهادئ الذي عقدته الرابطة الدولية لأعضاء النيابات العامة الذي عُقد في آب/أغسطس 2012، وفي المؤتمر السنوي السابع عشر للرابطة الدولية لأعضاء النيابات العامة الذي عُقد من 28 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر إلى 1 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2012.

(a) Regional networks of Prosecutors and central authorities are important for facilitating international cooperation in criminal matters in the framework of the United Nations Convention on Transnational Organized Crime;
(أ) إنَّ للشبكات الإقليمية لأعضاء النيابات العامة والسلطات المركزية أهميتها في تسهيل التعاون الدولي في المسائل الجنائية في إطار اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الجريمة المنظَّمة عبر الوطنية؛

9. The President of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) thanked the Government of the Republic of Korea for hosting the Summit and stressed that the Annual Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors had a complementary relation to the World Summit.
9- وشكر رئيسُ الرابطة الدولية لأعضاء النيابات العامة حكومة جمهورية كوريا لاستضافتها مؤتمر القمة وشدَّد على أنَّ الاجتماع السنوي للرابطة الدولية لأعضاء النيابات العامة له علاقة مكمِّلة لمؤتمر القمة العالمي.

UNODC supported the annual conference of the Ibero-American Association of Public Prosecutors, held in Santiago in November 2007.
ودعم المكتب المؤتمر السنوي الذي نظّمته الرابطة الإيبيـرية الأمريكية لأعضاء النيابات العامة في سانتياغو في تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2007.

From 25 to 27 July 2007, the first Latin American regional conference of the Ibero-American Association of Public Prosecutors was held.
28- وكان أول مؤتمر إقليمي في أمريكا اللاتينية للرابطة الإيبيـرية الأمريكية لأعضاء النيابات العامة قد عقد في الفترة من 25 إلى 27 تموز/يوليه 2007.

UNODC supported and provided expertise to the first Latin American Regional Conference of the International Association of Prosecutors, hosted in July 2006 by the Office of the Public Prosecutor of Chile and the Ibero-American Association of Public Prosecutors, which focused on witness protection and support.
35- ووفر مكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة الدعم والخبرة الفنية لأول مؤتمر إقليمي في أمريكا اللاتينية للرابطة الدولية لأعضاء النيابات العامة وهو مؤتمر استضافه في تموز/يوليه 2006 مكتب الادعاء العام في شيلي والرابطة الإيبيرية-الأمريكية لأعضاء النيابات العامة، وقد ركَّز على حماية الشهود ودعمهم.

Jointly with the UNDP Programme on Governance in the Arab Region, UNODC developed a computer-based judicial ethics training tool to promote judicial ethics in Arabic-speaking countries with a view to fostering the application of the Bangalore Principles of Judicial Conduct and professional principles for prosecutors.
63- وأعدَّ المكتب، بالاشتراك مع برنامج الحوكمة في المنطقة العربية التابع لبرنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي، أداة حاسوبية للتدريب على الأخلاقيات القضائية من أجل تعزيز الأخلاقيات القضائية في البلدان الناطقة باللغة العربية دعما لتطبيق مبادئ بانغالور بشأن سلوك الجهاز القضائي والمبادئ المهنية لأعضاء النيابات العامة.
