II. New resources for the UNCITRAL secretariat

In line with the request by some States that the additional mandate bestowed on the UNCITRAL secretariat be fulfilled on a cost-neutral budgetary basis in relation to the United Nations regular budget, efforts were made to establish the Registry as a pilot project temporarily funded by voluntary contributions.
