Such mechanisms existed for the United Nations Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances and the United Nations Convention against Corruption, but not for the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime.

The President of the International Narcotics Control Board provided detailed information on the recommendation of the Board to transfer phenylacetic acid from Table II to Table I of the United Nations Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988.
وقدَّمت رئيسة الهيئة الدولية لمراقبة المخدرات معلومات مفصّلة عن توصية الهيئة بنقل حمض فينيل الخل من الجدول الثاني إلى الجدول الأول لاتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الاتجار غير المشروع في المخدرات والمؤثرات العقلية لسنة 1988.

This strategy and national action plans were implemented in accordance with the United Nations Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988 and the Political Declaration and Plan of Action on International Cooperation towards an Integrated and Balanced Strategy to Counter the World Drug Problem adopted in 2009.

(b) Governments should re-examine their policies and procedures regarding controlled delivery to ensure that measures are in place in accordance with the United Nations Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988;
(ب) أن تعيد الحكومات النظر في سياساتها وإجراءاتها فيما يتعلق بالتسليم المراقب بما يكفل اتخاذ التدابير اللازمة وفقا لاتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الاتجار غير المشروع في المخدرات والمؤثرات العقلية لعام 1988؛()

4. Urges Member States to further strengthen, update or, if they have not yet done so, establish national legislation and mechanisms relating to the control of precursors used in the illicit manufacture of drugs, pursuant to the United Nations Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988;
4- تحثّ الدول الأعضاء على مواصلة العمل على تعزيز التشريعات والآليات الوطنية المتعلقة بمراقبة السلائف المستخدمة في صنع المخدرات غير المشروع وفقا لاتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الاتجار غير المشروع في المخدرات والمؤثرات العقلية لسنة 1988،() أو تحديث تلك التشريعات والآليات، أو استحداثها إذا لم تكن موجودة بعد؛

2. Encourages Member States, when appropriate and in accordance with the United Nations Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988, to undertake efforts to protect populations living in affected and vulnerable areas, including areas where licit crops are at risk of displacement by illicit crops because licit crops are grown adjacent to illicit crops;
2- تشجِّع الدولَ الأعضاءَ، حيثما كان ذلك مناسبا ووفقاً لاتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الاتجار غير المشروع في المخدِّرات والمؤثِّرات العقلية لسنة 1988،() على بذل الجهود لحماية السكان الذين يعيشون في مناطق متضرِّرة أو معرَّضة للخطر، بما في ذلك المناطق التي تكون فيها المحاصيل المشروعة عرضة لخطر الاستعاضة عنها بمحاصيل غير مشروعة، بسبب زراعتها بجوار المحاصيل غير المشروعة؛

The tenth anniversary of the United Nations Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances seems a particularly appropriate time for such a gathering.
ويبدو أن الاحتفال بالذكرى السنوية العاشرة لاتفاقية اﻷمم المتحدة لمكافحة الاتجار غير المشروع بالعقاقير المخدرة والمؤثرات العقلية، سيكون وقتا مناسبا لهذا التجمع.

As to the United Nations Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988, 103 States and the European Union were Parties, representing about 54 per cent of all countries in the world.
أما بالنسبة لاتفاقية اﻷمم المتحدة لمكافحة الاتجار غير المشروع بالمخدرات والمؤثرات العقلية لعام ١٩٨٨، فقد بلغ عدد الدول اﻷطراف فيها ١٠٣ دول مضافا إليها الاتحاد اﻷوروبي، وفي ذلك ما يمثل حوالي ٥٤ في المائة من جميع بلدان العالم.
