Parties to the Basel Convention are encouraged to extend the role of Basel Convention regional centres in developing training and technology transfer on environmentally sound material recovery and recycling of end-of-life mobile phones so as to assist developing countries and countries with economies in transition in implementing regulatory frameworks for the environmentally sound management of end-of-life mobile phones.
