8. States that have started the process of ratification, accession or acceptance of the Statute may nominate candidates for the elections of judges to the International Criminal Court.
8 - يجوز للدول التي شرعت في عملية المصادقة على النظام الأساسي أو الانضمام إليه أو القبول به أن تسمي مرشحيها لانتخاب قضاة المحكمة الجنائية الدولية.

The existing mechanisms for election in the United Nations system could be used to elect the judges of the Court.
وقال ان اﻵليات القائمة للانتخاب في منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة يمكن استخدامها لانتخاب قضاة المحكمة .

The Secretary-General has the honour to submit to the General Assembly the curricula vitae of the candidates nominated by States Members of the United Nations for the election of judges of the third Trial Chamber of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1 January 1991.

It was also encouraging that 81 States had ratified the Statute and that a solution had finally been reached by the Assembly on a number of basic documents of vital importance to Member States such as the Rules of Procedure for the election of judges of the International Criminal Court.

7. States that have started the process of ratification, accession or acceptance of the Statute may nominate candidates for the elections of judges to the International Criminal Court.
7 - يجوز للدول التي شرعت في عملية المصادقة على النظام الأساسي أو الانضمام إليه أو القبول به أن تسمي مرشحيها لانتخاب قضاة المحكمة الجنائية الدولية.

His country welcomed the approval of a mechanism to elect the judges of the Court which took into account the need to represent both genders and all the geographical regions and principal legal systems of the world.
وأضاف أن بلده ترحب بالموافقة على آلية لانتخاب قضاة المحكمة تأخذ بعين الاعتبار الحاجة إلى تمثيل كلا الجنسين وجميع المناطق والنظم القانونية الرئيسية في العالم.
