Recognizing the central role of the Permanent Observer Mission to the United Nations in New York, the Meeting urged the government of the United States of America, as the host country, to extend full diplomatic status to the Mission.
وإقراراً منه بالدور المركزي لبعثة المراقبة الدائمة لدى الأمم المتحدة في نيويورك، حث الاجتماع حكومة الولايات المتحدة، بصفتها دولة المقر، على منح الوضع الدبلوماسي الكامل للبعثة.

13. Takes note of the financial performance report for the Observation Mission for the period from 1 July 2000 to 30 June 2001;
13 - تحيط علما بتقرير الأداء المالي لبعثة المراقبة للفترة الممتدة من 1 تموز/يوليه 2000 إلى 30 حزيران/يونيه 2001()؛

3. Urges all Member States to make every possible effort to ensure payment of their assessed contributions to the Observation Mission promptly and in full;
٣ - تحث جميع الدول اﻷعضاء على بذل كل جهد ممكن لضمان دفع الاشتراكات المقررة عليها لبعثة المراقبة في حينها وبالكامل؛

Urges all Member States to make every possible effort to ensure payment of their assessed contributions to the Observation Mission in full;

Similarly, the Government of Switzerland has extended necessary privileges to the OIC Observer Mission in Geneva, facilitating its effective cooperation with the United Nations and the specialized agencies based in Europe.
وبالمثل قدمت حكومة سويسرا المزايا الضرورية لبعثة المراقبة التابعة لمنظمة المؤتمر اﻹسلامــي في جنيف، اﻷمر الذي سهل التعاون الفعال مع اﻷمم المتحدة والوكالات المتخصصة الموجودة في أوروبا.

For his part, he fervently hopes that the Observer Mission will rapidly increase its staff in the provinces of the country where serious human rights violations are occurring, despite the prevailing insecurity.
ويأمل المقرر الخاص جدياً من جانبه في إمكان زيادة عدد المراقبين التابعين لبعثة المراقبة في المناطق المتأثرة بالانتهاكات الجسيمة لحقوق اﻹنسان، رغم اﻷوضاع غير اﻵمنة.

59. Claims and adjustments. Provision is made for miscellaneous claims and adjustments arising from the day-to-day operation of the Observer Mission, excluding third-party vehicle accident claims, at an average cost of $2,000 per month.
٥٩ - المطالبات والتسويات - رصد اعتماد للمطالبات والتسويات المتنوعة الناشئة عن التشغيل اليومي لبعثة المراقبة باستثناء مطالبات حوادث المركبات المتعلقة بالمسؤولية قِبَل الغير، بتكلفة متوسطها ٠٠٠ ٢ دولار شهريا.

Finally, the European Union expresses its appreciation to the Permanent Representative of the Observer Mission of Switzerland and his delegation for his excellent work as Chairman-in-Office of the OSCE, and we look forward to working closely with the incoming Chairman-in-Office, the Permanent Representative of Denmark.
وأخيرا، يعرب الاتحاد اﻷوروبي عن تقديره للمثل الدائم لبعثة المراقبة السويسرية ووفد بلده على عمله الممتاز بوصفه الرئيس الحالي لمنظمة اﻷمن والتعاون في أوروبا، ونتطلع إلى العمل الوثيق مع الرئيس المقبل، الممثل الدائم للدانمرك.

The opening in New York of a permanent office for the Observer Mission of the Agency to the United Nations symbolizes this desire to strengthen cooperation between the two multilateral institutions, while at the same time offering encouragement for the future, in that closer geographical proximity should facilitate such cooperation.
ويمثل افتتاح مكتب دائم في نيويورك لبعثة المراقبة التابعة للوكالة لدى اﻷمم المتحدة رمزا للرغبة في تعزيز التعاون بين هاتين المؤسستين المتعددتي اﻷطراف، بينما يقدم في الوقت ذاته التشجيع بالنسبة للمستقبل، حيث أن القرب الجغرافي جدير بأن ييسر هذا التعاون.

8. Also requests the Secretary-General, in order to reduce the cost of employing General Service staff, to continue efforts to recruit local staff for the Observation Mission against General Service posts, commensurate with the requirements of the Mission;
٨ - تطلب أيضا إلى اﻷمين العام، من أجل خفض تكلفة توظيف موظفي فئة الخدمات العامة، أن يواصل ما يبذله من جهود للاستعانة بموظفين معينين محليا لبعثة المراقبة على وظائف في فئة الخدمات العامة، بما يتناسب مع احتياجات البعثة؛

19. Financial support for UNIKOM was of great importance, and Member States should therefore pay their assessed contributions on time.
١٩ - وقال إن تقديم الدعم المالي لبعثة المراقبة له أهمية بالغة، ولذلك يتعين على الدول اﻷعضاء أن تقوم بتسديد أنصبتها المقررة في مواعيدها.

5. By its resolution 687 (1991), the Security Council established a demilitarized zone along the Iraq-Kuwait boundary and approved the following terms of reference of UNIKOM:
٥ - أنشأ مجلس اﻷمن، بقراره ٦٨٧ )١٩٩١(، منطقة منزوعة السلاح على طول الحدود بين العراق والكويت ووافق على الصلاحيات التالية لبعثة المراقبة:

14. The General Assembly, in paragraph 13 of its resolution 47/208, invited Member States to make voluntary contributions to UNIKOM both in cash and in the form of services and supplies acceptable to the Secretary-General.
١٤ - دعت الجمعية العامة الدول اﻷعضاء، في الفقرة ١٣ من قرارها ٤٧/٢٠٨، إلى تقديم تبرعات لبعثة المراقبة نقدا وفي شكل خدمات ولوازم تكون مقبولة لدى اﻷمين العام.
