Although the Special Rapporteur had requested an official meeting with the Permanent Mission of Belarus to the United Nations Office at Geneva during his visit, he met unofficially representatives of the Permanent Mission.

By letter dated 4 December 2001, the Deputy Permanent Representative of Belarus to the United Nations Office at Geneva informed the Chairperson of the Working Group that the issue of the organization of the Working Group's visit to Belarus was under consideration by the competent authorities and that final dates would be agreed upon through diplomatic channels.

The Special Rapporteur has officially addressed the Permanent Representative of Belarus to the United Nations Office at Geneva or, through him, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, to request meetings and an invitation to visit Belarus.
ووجَّـه المقرر الخاص رسميا رسائل إلى الممثل الدائم لبيلاروس لدى مكتب الأمم المتحدة في جنيف، أو من خلالـه، إلى وزير الخارجية لطلب عقد اجتماعات أو توجيه دعوة إليه لزيارة بـيلاروس().

11. By letter dated 31 May 2011, the Permanent Representative of Belarus to the United Nations Office at Geneva took note of Working Group's Opinion No. 13/2011 (Belarus) and considered that it was non-objective and biased.

5. At the 16th meeting, the delegation of Belarus, headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Permanent Representative of Belarus to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations at Geneva, Mikhail Khvostov, began its presentation of the national report.
5- في الجلسة السادسة عشرة، بدأ وفد بيلاروس برئاسة السفير فوق العادة والمفوض الممثل الدائم لبيلاروس لدى مكتب الأمم المتحدة والمنظمات الدولية الأخرى في جنيف، السيد ميخائيل خفوتسوف، في عرض تقريره الوطني.

By note verbale dated 3 December 2012, the Permanent Mission of Belarus to the United Nations Office at Geneva stated that opinion No. 39/2012 (Belarus) on the detention of Aleksandr Viktorovich Bialatski was biased, non-authoritative and politically motivated (see A/HRC/22/G/2).
