The Conference also called on the High Contracting Parties to promote wider adherence to Amended Protocol II in their respective regions, pursuant to Actions 2 to 5 of the Plan of Action to promote the universality of the Convention and its annexed Protocols adopted by the Third Review Conference of the High Contracting Parties.

The Meeting, in particular, expressed its satisfaction at the steps undertaken for the implementation of the Plan of Action to Promote Universality of the Convention and its annexed Protocols and the importance of achieving universal adherence to the Convention and its annexed Protocols.
وأعرب الاجتماع عن ارتياحه بشكل خاص للخطوات المتخذة لتنفيذ خطة العمل لتحقيق انضمام جميع بلدان العالم إلى الاتفاقية وبروتوكولاتها المرفقة.

كذلك ناشد المؤتمر الأطراف المتعاقدة السامية الترويج للانضمام إلى البروتوكول الخامس في مناطقها على نطاق أوسع، عملاً بالإجراءات 2 إلى 5 من خطة العمل لتحقيق انضمام جميع بلدان العالم إلى الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها على نحو ما اعتمدها المؤتمر الاستعراضي الثالث.

(b) The Plan of Action to promote the universality of the Convention and its Protocols is the relevant mechanism to enhance the interest of States that are not party to those instruments.
(ب) اعتبار خطة العمل لتحقيق انضمام جميع بلدان العالم إلى الاتفاقية وبروتوكولاتها بمثابة الآلية المناسبة لتعزيز اهتمام الدول غير الأطراف بالاتفاقية وبروتوكولاتها.

22. At its second plenary meeting, on 13 November 2008, the Meeting of the High Contracting Parties considered a report by Ambassador Franciscos Verros of Greece, Chairperson of the 2007 Meeting of the High Contracting Parties, on the implementation of the Plan of Action to promote the universality of the Convention.
22- وفي الجلسة العامة الثانية، المعقودة في 13 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2008، نظر اجتماع الأطراف المتعاقدة السامية في تقرير أعدّه السفير فرانسيكوس فيروس، ممثل اليونان ورئيس اجتماع الأطراف المتعاقدة السامية لعام 2008، عن تنفيذ خطة العمل لتحقيق انضمام جميع بلدان العالم إلى الاتفاقية.

(b) The plan of action to promote the universality of the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons and its annexed Protocols is the relevant mechanism to enhance the interest of States that are not party to those instruments.

47. The Conference also decided that, in implementing the Plan of Action to Promote Universality of the Convention and its annexed Protocols as adopted by the Third Review Conference, the Meeting of Experts should consider the issue of the universalization of Protocol V on Explosive Remnants of War under the overall responsibility of the President-designate of the Third Conference of the High Contracting Parties to Protocol V.
47- كما قرر المؤتمر في سياق تنفيذ خطة العمل لتحقيق انضمام جميع بلدان العالم إلى الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها على نحو ما اعتمدها المؤتمر الاستعراضي الثالث، أن ينظر اجتماع الخبراء في مسألة إضفاء الصبغة العالمية على البروتوكول الخامس المتعلق بالمتفجرات من مخلفات الحرب تحت المسؤولية الشاملة للرئيس المعيّن للمؤتمر الثالث للأطراف المتعاقدة السامية في البروتوكول الخامس.

41. The Conference also decided that in implementing the Plan of Action to Promote Universality of the Convention and its annexed Protocols as adopted by the Third Review Conference, the meeting of experts should consider the issue of the universalization of Protocol V on Explosive Remnants of War under the overall responsibility of the President-designate of the Second Conference of the High Contracting Parties to Protocol V.
41- كما قرر المؤتمر في سياق تنفيذ خطة العمل لتحقيق انضمام جميع بلدان العالم إلى الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها على نحو ما اعتمدها المؤتمر الاستعراضي الثالث، أن ينظر فريق الخبراء في مسألة إضفاء الصبغة العالمية على البروتوكول الخامس المتعلق بالمتفجرات من مخلفات الحرب تحت المسؤولية الشاملة للرئيس المُعين للمؤتمر الثاني للأطراف المتعاقدة السامية في البروتوكول الخامس.
