ومع أن تكنولوجيا الفضاء في ميانمار لا تزال في بداياتها، تخطّط ميانمار، بدعم من الحكومة والقطاع الخاص، وكذلك من خلال التعاون الدولي، لإرساء الأسس اللازمة لتطوير تكنولوجيا الفضاء في البلد، على أمل إطلاق ساتل خاص بها من أجل استخدام تكنولوجيا الفضاء في أغراض سلمية.

27- وقدَّم ممثل جامعة العلوم التقنية لولاية كاليفورنيا (الولايات المتحدة) عرضاً إيضاحيا تناول فيه الساتل " كيوبسات " (CubeSat، أي الساتل المكعَّب)، وهو بمثابة مَدخل إلى ميدان تطوير تكنولوجيا الفضاء، ومتطلبات البنية التحتية اللازمة لتطوير تكنولوجيا الفضاء.

It was reported that efforts to establish an integrated local collaborative space technology development programme in Malaysia were centred on the CubeSat platform-based Innovative Satellite (InnoSAT) project, aimed at building Malaysian space technology development skills by enhancing infrastructure and developing the necessary human resources through inter-organizational partnerships.
23- وأُفيد بأن الجهود الرامية إلى وضع برنامج تعاوني محلي متكامل لتطوير تكنولوجيا الفضاء في ماليزيا تتركّز حول مشروع الساتل الابتكاري " إنوسات " (InnoSAT) المستند إلى منصة " كيوبسات " ، والذي يهدف إلى بناء المهارات الماليزية في مجال تطوير تكنولوجيا الفضاء عن طريق تعزيز البنية التحتية وتطوير الموارد البشرية الضرورية من خلال شراكات بين المؤسسات.

Panel discussions were held on the following topics: (a) requirements and conditions for enabling and sustaining space technology development activities in support of national and regional development priorities; (b) best practices for establishing infrastructure for basic space technology development; and (c) prospects for space technology development activities and regional and international cooperation in Western Asia.
44- عُقدت حلقات مناقشة حول المواضيع التالية: (أ) متطلبات وشروط تمكين استدامة أنشطة تطوير تكنولوجيا الفضاء في دعم أولويات التنمية الوطنية والإقليمية؛ (ب) أفضل الممارسات لإنشاء البنية التحتية اللازمة لتطوير تكنولوجيا الفضاء الأساسية؛ (ج) آفاق أنشطة تطوير تكنولوجيا الفضاء والتعاون الإقليمي والدولي في غربي آسيا.
