The JIGE, at its sixth session, having completed the final reading of the draft articles for a convention on maritime liens and mortgages, also held an exchange of views concerning the possible review of the International Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules Relating to the Arrest of Sea-going Ships, 1952 (hereinafter referred to as the Arrest Convention).
٢- وفي الدورة السادسة لفريق الخبراء الحكومي الدولي المشترك، استكمل الفريق القراءة النهائية لمشاريع مواد اتفاقية معنية بالامتيازات والرهون البحرية، كما تبادل اﻵراء فيما يتعلق بإمكان تعديل الاتفاقية الدولية لتوحيد قواعد معينة تتصل بحجز السفن البحرية لعام ٢٥٩١ )ويشار إليها هنا باتفاقية الحجز(.

1. The Sessional Group noted that it had been requested by the plenary of the Joint Intergovernmental Group of Experts to deal with agenda item 3, namely consideration of the possible review of the International Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules Relating to the Arrest of Sea-going Ships, 1952.
١- لاحظ فريق الدورة أن الجلسة العامة لفريق الخبراء الحكومي الدولي المشترك قد طلبت منه أن يبحث البند ٣ من جدول اﻷعمال المعنون " النظر في امكانية استعراض الاتفاقية الدولية لتوحيد قواعد معينة تتعلق بحجز السفن البحرية، ٢٥٩١ " .

- The International Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules Relating to the Arrest of Sea-going Ships, 1952 (1952 Arrest Convention) has achieved widespread international support - there are some 75 Contracting States - resulting in a considerable degree of uniformity of the law applicable to the enforcement of maritime claims.

As had been the case in the previous session, the Commission had expressed its concern about the situation that had arisen in the law regarding the transport of goods by sea, as a result of the coexistence of the liability regime of the Hamburg Rules with the International Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules relating to Bills of Lading (Hague Rules).
٥٢ - وقال إن لجنة اﻷمم المتحدة للقانون التجاري الدولي أعربت، كما فعلت في الدورة السابقة، عن قلقها للحالة الناشئة فيما يتعلق بالقانون الذي ينظم النقل البحري للبضائع نتيجة للجمع بين نظام المسؤولية المنصوص عليه في قواعد هامبورغ ونظام المسؤولية المنصوص عليه في الاتفاق الدولي لتوحيد قواعد معينة في مجال المعلومات )قواعد لاهاي(.
