12. The CRIC at its tenth session may wish to recommend that the COP:

Prior to COP 10, several country Parties provided inputs to these frameworks, as recommended by the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC) at its ninth session.

It is foreseen that a total number of 10 draft decisions which highlight the substantive nature of the CRIC 9 session under the new monitoring system will be prepared by the CRIC for consideration by the COP.

In this regard, the CRIC 7 review and consideration by COP 9 of the JWP shall constitute key steps in the evolution of the JWP.

A methodology by which best practices may be collected will be prepared based on guidance received from the seventh session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC 7).

9. Given the need to receive further advice from the seventh session of the CRIC (CRIC 7) on a number of matters pertinent to the reporting process, the secretariat has prepared documentation which is based on reporting principles, rather than develop fully fledged draft reporting guidelines. This approach was endorsed by the CRIC Bureau.
وبالنظر إلى ضرورة تلقِّي مزيدٍ من المشورة من لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية في دورتها السابعة بشأن عددٍ من المسائل المتعلقة بعملية الإبلاغ، فقد عمدت الأمانة إلى إعداد وثائق تستند إلى مبادئ عامة للإبلاغ بدلاً من وضع مشروع مكتمل لمبادئ توجيهية بشأنه، وقد حظي هذا النهج بتأييد مكتب اللجنة.

Also included in the report of the Bureau is a reflection of some CST issues that were discussed by the CRIC at its fifth session.
ويُدرج في تقرير المكتب أيضاً إظهار لبعض قضايا لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا التي بحثتها لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية في دورتها الخامسة.

Such an action-oriented and participative process for monitoring and assessment could be the cornerstone of a concrete way forward and would be in line with recommendations by the CRIC at its fifth session.

48. At its fifth session, the CRIC emphasised the need to have outcome-oriented indicators at national level.

Consequently the reports submitted by NM countries at CRIC 5 vary widely in scope and information content.
