٨٨ - تقرر الجمعية العامة زيادة عدد أعضاء لجنة الاعلام من ٨١ إلى ٨٢ عضوا وتقرر تعيين غابون عضوا في لجنة اﻹعلام.

In view of the importance of this issue to such a large number of Member States, I would like to suggest that at this session we renew a call for Member States to provide us with information on this issue, for consideration at the next session of the Committee on Information.
ونظرا ﻷهمية هذه القضية لعدد كبير من الدول اﻷعضاء، أود أن أقترح أن نجدد في هذه الدورة دعوتنا الى الدول اﻷعضاء لموافاتنا بالمعلومات حول هذه المسألة، لتنظر فيها لجنة الاعلام في دورتها المقبلة.

As limited resources made it impossible to open a centre in each country, the establishment of a network of small information centres under the supervision of a large existing regional one, would have great advantages, as had been suggested by his delegation at the session of the Committee on Information.

In the view of the Department of Public Information, this proposal does not provide a viable alternative to a system-wide publication, nor does it meet the requirements of the mandate entrusted to the Department by the General Assembly through the Committee on Information.
وترى إدارة شؤون الاعلام أن هذا الاقتراح لا يشكل بديلا قابلا للاستمرار لمنشور على نطاق المنظومة كما لا يستوفي اشتراطات الولاية التي أسندتها الجمعية العامة إلى اﻹدارة عن طريق لجنة الاعلام.
