In accordance with the Bangkok Plan of Action, UNCTAD's major objectives in the area of international trade include the following:
1- تشتمل الأهداف الرئيسية للأونكتاد في ميدان التجارة الدولية، وفقاً لخطة عمل بانكوك(1)، على ما يلي:

In accordance with the Bangkok Plan of Action (TD/390), the Group conducted preliminary deliberations on corporate governance at its eighteenth session.
3- وفقاً لخطة عمل بانكوك (TD/390) أجرى الفريق مداولات أولية بشأن إدارة الشركات في دورته الثامنة عشرة.

The representative of Bangladesh, speaking on behalf of the least developed countries, said that it was vital for the Bangkok Plan of Action to be implemented fully, and the LDCs reiterated their full commitment to the principles enshrined therein.
1- قال ممثل بنغلاديش، متكلماً باسم أقل البلدان نمواً، إن من الأهمية بمكان بالنسبة لخطة عمل بانكوك تنفيذها تنفيذاً كاملاً، وأقل البلدان نمواً تكرر التزامها التام بالمبادئ المجسدة في هذه الخطة.

UNCTAD must strengthen its special focus on the needs of the least developed countries and Africa across all areas of its mandate and in accordance with the Bangkok Plan of Action and the São Paulo Consensus.
41- ويجب أن يعزز الأونكتاد تركيزه بشكل خاص على احتياجات أقل البلدان نمواً واحتياجات أفريقيا عبر جميع مجالات ولايته ووفقاً لخطة عمل بانكوك وتوافق آراء ساو باولو.

41- على الأونكتاد أن يشدد تركيزه بشكل خاص على احتياجات أقل البلدان نمواً واحتياجات أفريقيا عبر جميع مجالات ولايته ووفقاً لخطة عمل بانكوك وتوافق آراء ساو باولو.

In this regard, the LAS found the initiatives of APPU/UNCTAD very relevant, and they deserved to be supported and advanced, in line with the Bangkok Plan of Action and the São Paulo Consensus.
وفي هذا الصدد، قال إن جامعة الدول العربية تعتبر أن المبادرات التي تقوم بها وحدة الأونكتاد لتقديم المساعدة إلى الشعب الفلسطيني تشكل خطوات عملية وتستحق الدعم وفقاً لخطة عمل بانكوك وتوافق آراء ساو باولو.

41- يجب أن يعزز الأونكتاد تركيزه بشكل خاص على احتياجات أقل البلدان نمواً واحتياجات أفريقيا عبر جميع مجالات ولايته ووفقاً لخطة عمل بانكوك وتوافق آراء ساو باولو.

The São Paulo Consensus reaffirmed the continuing relevance of the Bangkok Plan of Action that member States had adopted in February 2000 at UNCTAD X. Furthermore, the São Paulo Consensus provided additional areas of work.
وقد أعاد توافق الآراء الذي تم التوصل إليه في ساو باولو تأكيد الأهمية المستمرة لخطة عمل بانكوك التي اعتمدتها الدول الأعضاء خلال الأونكتاد العاشر في شباط/فبراير 2000. وعلاوة على ذلك، فقد حدد توافق آراء ساو باولو مجالات عمل إضافية.

It should be noted in this connection that the Group of Experts has been considering corporate governance issues in accordance with the Bangkok Plan of Action adopted at UNCTAD X (TD/390).

106. UNCTAD, in accordance with the Bangkok Plan of Action adopted at UNCTAD X, should continue to act as a forum for intergovernmental discussions and deliberations and consensus building, undertake research, analysis, and data collection, and provide technical assistance tailored to the needs of the developing countries.
106 - ينبغي للأونكتاد، وفقاً لخطة عمل بانكوك التي اعتمدت في الأونكتاد العاشر، أن يواصل العمل كمحفل للمناقشات والمداولات الحكومية الدولية ولبناء توافق في الآراء، وأن يضطلع بأنشطة البحث والتحليل وجمع البيانات، وأن يوفر المساعدة التقنية المكيَّفة مع احتياجات البلدان النامية.

26. UNCTAD, in accordance with the Bangkok Plan of Action adopted at UNCTAD X, should continue to act as a forum for intergovernmental discussions and deliberations and consensus building, undertake research, analysis, and data collection, and provide technical assistance tailored to the needs of the developing countries .
26- ينبغي للأونكتاد، وفقاً لخطة عمل بانكوك التي اعتمدت في الأونكتاد العاشر، أن يواصل العمل كمحفل للمناقشات والمداولات الحكومية الدولية ولبناء توافق في الآراء، وأن يضطلع بأنشطة البحث والتحليل وجمع البيانات، وأن يوفر المساعدة التقنية المكيَّفة مع احتياجات البلدان النامية.

The Millennium Summit and Declaration had set out shared goals for international development efforts, the Third UN Conference on LDCs had reaffirmed the importance of the issues dealt with by UNCTAD, the Fourth WTO Ministerial Meeting had significant implications for UNCTAD's work, and the International Conference on Financing for Development had placed at the centre stage the issues that formed the basis of the Bangkok Plan of Action.
11- وقد حددت قمة الألفية وإعلانها أهدافاً مشتركة للجهود الإنمائية الدولية، وأكد مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة الثالث لأقل البلدان نمواً من جديد أهمية المسائل التي يعالجها الأونكتاد، وانطوى الاجتماع الوزاري الرابع لمنظمة التجارة العالمية على آثار بارزة لأعمال الأونكتاد، ووضع المؤتمر الدولي المعني بتمويل التنمية في مركز الصدارة القضايا التي تشكل الأساس لخطة عمل بانكوك.
