In order to reflect a coherent vision of their role and to clarify their objectives, their articles of agreement could be amended as follows:
وتكريساً لرؤية متسقة لدورهما وتوضيحاً لأهدافهما، يمكن تعديل النظامين الأساسيين على النحو التالي:

(a) In providing appropriate assistance to parents in the performance of their childrearing responsibilities (art. 18.2), States parties should take all appropriate measures to enhance parents' understanding of their role in their children's early education, encourage childrearing practices which are childcentred, encourage respect for the child's dignity and provide opportunities for developing understanding, selfesteem and selfconfidence;
(أ) عند تقديم المساعدة الملائمة إلى الوالدين في أداء مسؤولياتهما المتعلقة برعاية الأطفال (المادة 18-2)، ينبغي قيام الدول الأطراف باتخاذ جميع التدابير الملائمة لتحسين فهم الوالدين لدورهما في تعليم أطفالهما في مرحلة مبكرة، ولتشجيع ممارسات تربية الأطفال التي تركز على الطفل، وللتشجيع على احترام كرامة الطفل وإتاحة الفرص لتنمية فهمه واعتزازه بنفسه وثقته بنفسه؛
