Effective resolution of the formidable problems faced by those countries requires serious consideration, at a high political level, of concerted national, regional and international policies and measures in their favour.
وإن المعالجة الفعالة للمشاكل الهائلة التي تواجهها هذه البلدان تتطلب القيام، على مستوى سياسي رفيع، بالنظر بجدية في سياسات وتدابير متضافرة يتم تنفيذها على الصعيد الوطني والإقليمي والدولي لصالح تلك البلدان.

Strengthened international efforts were, therefore, needed to consider and implement some form of debt restructuring or debt relief for such countries.
وبالتالي فإن من الضروري تكثيف الجهود الدولية للنظر في اتباع وتنفيذ شكل ما من أشكال إعادة هيكلة الديون أو التخفيف من عبئها لصالح تلك البلدان.

These include duty- and quota-free access to northern countries for exports from the least developed countries because of the important role of trade in development, debt alleviation and the mobilization of external financial resources for those countries.

The work of the subprogramme will also focus on implementing technical assistance based on specific needs of those countries; coordinating relevant UNCTAD technical cooperation activities in favour of those countries; and participating in the Integrated Framework for Trade-Related Technical Assistance to Least Developed Countries and the ITC/UNCTAD/WTO Joint Integrated Technical Assistance Programme.

24. Activities undertaken in accordance with the subprogramme will further contribute, in aspects relevant to UNCTAD, to the consideration by the General Assembly and other relevant intergovernmental forums of the specific problems of the least developed countries, landlocked developing countries and small island developing States, and the coordination of technical assistance activities within UNCTAD in favour of those countries.
24 - وستساهم الأنشطة التي سيتم القيام بها وفقا للبرنامج الفرعي، في ما يتصل بالجوانب التي تهم الأونكتاد، في نظر الجمعية العامة وسائر المنتديات الحكومية الدولية ذات الصلة في المشاكل المحددة التي تنفرد بها أقل البلدان نموا والبلدان النامية غير الساحلية والدول الجزرية الصغيرة النامية وفي تنسيق أنشطة المساعدة التقنية المبذولة في إطار الأونكتاد لصالح تلك البلدان.

As regards bilateral ODA debt, most DAC donors now extend only grants to the LDCs and large-scale debt cancellation has been undertaken in their favour.
٢٨ - وفيما يتعلق بدين المساعدة اﻹنمائية الرسمية الثنائية، فإن غالبية الجهات المانحة للمساعدة الانمائية والتعاونية لا تقدم اﻵن منحا إلا الى أقل البلدان نموا، كما جرى إلغاء ديون على نطاق واسع لصالح تلك البلدان.

:: Given that developing countries are not fully integrated into international forums on tax matters, the United Nations Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters could play an important role for such countries.
:: بالنظر إلى أن البلدان النامية غير مندمجة على نحو كامل في المنتديات الدولية المعنية بالمسائل الضريبية، فإن لجنة الخبراء التابعة للأمم المتحدة والمعنية بالتعاون الدولي في المسائل الضريبية بإمكانها أن تضطلع بدور هام لصالح تلك البلدان.

The least developed countries called for an early, balanced, ambitious and development-oriented outcome of the Doha Development Round and, pending that outcome, agreement at the eighth World Trade Organization Ministerial Conference on an " early harvest " package for those countries.
وقال إن أقل البلدان نموا تدعو إلى تحقيق نتيجة مبكرة ومتوازنة وطموحة وذات وجهة إنمائية لجولة الدوحة الإنمائية، وريثما تتحقق تلك النتيجة، تدعو إلى التوصل إلى اتفاق في المؤتمر الوزاري الثامن لمنظمة التجارة العالمية بشأن حزمة " الحصاد المبكر " لصالح تلك البلدان.

18.31 The Least Developed Countries Coordination Unit addresses the special needs and concerns of least developed member countries, landlocked developing member countries and small island developing member countries, and mobilizes and coordinates the activities of the secretariat for the benefit of those countries.
18-31 وتعالج وحدة التنسيق المعنية بأقل البلدان نموا الاحتياجات والشواغل الخاصة لأعضاء اللجنة من أقل البلدان نموا وأعضائها من البلدان النامية غير الساحلية ومن البلدان الجزرية الصغيرة النامية، إلى جانب تعبئة أنشطة الأمانة وتنسيقها لصالح تلك البلدان.
