The Partnership has been actively engaged in several initiatives in support of the work of the Forum.

وقد وفرت هذه المساهمة القيمة مدخلا هاما لعمل المنتدى في دورته الثامنة.

The important concepts and different approaches mentioned here must serve as guidelines for the work of the Forum.

8. Accordingly, the additional resources required by the Department of Economic and Social Affairs to support the work of the Forum in the biennium 2014-2015 are as follows.

5. Section I of this report provides an overview of regional specificities, challenges and relevant activities in support of the Forum's work.

In addition, he stressed the importance, for the work of the Forum, of monitoring implementation, assessing outputs and impacts and reporting on progress, experiences and lessons learned.
وشدد علاوة على ذلك على أهمية رصد التنفيذ وتقييم النواتج والآثار والإبلاغ عن التقدم المحرز والخبرات والدروس المستفادة وذلك بالنسبة لعمل المنتدى.

Specific reference to organization-led initiatives of interest to the work of the Forum could also be incorporated into the formal multi-year programme of work, as is done in some regional intergovernmental processes, such as the Ministerial Conference on the Protection of Forests in Europe.
ويمكن أيضا إدراج إشارة محددة إلى المبادرات التي تقودها المنظمات وذات الأهمية لعمل المنتدى في برنامج العمل الرسمي المتعدد السنوات، كما يحدث في بعض العمليات الحكومية الدولية الإقليمية التي من قبيل المؤتمر الوزاري المعني بحماية الغابات في أوروبا.

2. Member organizations of CPF value their participation in the Partnership and actively lend their support to the work of the Forum on Forests.
2 - تقدر المنظمات الأعضاء في الشراكة التعاونية في مجال الغابات إسهامها في الشراكة وتوفر بنشاط دعمها لعمل المنتدى المعني بالغابات.

A. Collaborative Partnership on Forests 4. The Collaborative Partnership on Forests has been instrumental in providing substantive support to the work of the Forum, and enhancing collaboration, cooperation and coordination; this has included joint forest-related initiatives among its members.
4 - أدت الشراكة التعاونية المعنية بالغابات دورا فاعلا في توفير الدعم الفني لعمل المنتدى وتعزيز العمل المشترك والتعاون والتنسيق؛ ويشمل ذلك مبادرات مشتركة بين أعضائها فيما يتصل بالغابات.

35. The Collaborative Partnership on Forests provides critical support to the work of the Forum by enhancing cooperation and coordination among its member organizations.
35 - وتوفر الشراكة التعاونية في مجال الغابات دعما حيويا لعمل المنتدى بتعزيزها التعاون والتنسيق بين المنظمات الأعضاء فيها.

Building on that foundation, the Forum may wish to consider approaches to support further cooperation and partnership initiatives, including activities that address policy and programme coordination and provide guidance to the Collaborative Partnership on Forests in support of the work of the Forum.
وعلى هذا الأساس، قد يود المنتدى النظر في نُهج تدعم مزيدا من مبادرات التعاون والشراكة، بما في ذلك الأنشطة التي تتناول تنسيق السياسات والبرامج وتوفر المشورة للشراكة التعاونية في مجال الغابات دعماً لعمل المنتدى.

31. Initiatives led by countries, organizations and major groups in the form of international expert meetings in support of the work of the Forum have made important and extremely significant contributions.
31 - أخذت المبادرات المنفذة بقيادة البلدان والمنظمات والمجموعات الرئيسية شكل اجتماعات دولية للخبراء دعما لعمل المنتدى وقدمت إسهامات هامة وبالغة الدلالة.

58. There is also a need to find effective ways for the United Nations Secretariat and the entire United Nations system to support the work of the Forum.
58 - وثمة ضرورة أيضا لإيجاد سبل فعالة تُقدِم من خلالها الأمانة العامة للأمم المتحدة ومنظومة الأمم المتحدة برمتها الدعم لعمل المنتدى.

(d) To consolidate the reports provided by members of the Collaborative Partnership on Forests on initiatives and activities undertaken in support of the work of the Forum and the implementation of the non-legally binding instrument;
(د) توحيد التقارير المقدمة من أعضاء الشراكة التعاونية في مجال الغابات بشأن المبادرات والأنشطة المضطلع بها دعما لعمل المنتدى ولتنفيذ الصك غير الملزم قانونا؛

25. Recognizes the voluntary nature of the work of the Collaborative Partnership on Forests and the fact that activities undertaken by its members in support of the work of the Forum are contingent on prior review and approval by their respective governing bodies and the availability of extrabudgetary resources for such activities;
25 - يقر بالطبيعة الطوعية لعمل الشراكة التعاونية في مجال الغابات، وبأن الأنشطة التي يقوم بها أعضاؤها دعما لعمل المنتدى مشروطة بالاستعراض والموافقة المسبقين من جانب مجالس إدارة كل منهم وبتوافر الموارد الخارجة عن الميزانية للاطلاع بتلك الأنشطة؛

Further to this, at its seventh session, the Forum recommended that the convening of initiatives led by countries, organizations and regions in support of the work of the Forum focus on topical issues of the 2007-2015 multi-year programme of work.
وعلاوة على ذلك، أوصى المنتدى، في دورته السابعة، بأن تركز المبادرات التي تقودها البلدان والمنظمات والمناطق دعما لعمل المنتدى على المسائل المواضيعية الواردة في برنامج العمل المتعدد السنوات للفترة 2007-2015.

14. The Economic and Social Council emphasized in its resolution 2006/49, inter alia, the need to strengthen interaction between the Forum and the regional forest-related entities, including focused inputs from regions to the Forum, which adds an important dimension to the work of the Forum, and reflects the repeated emphasis placed by Member States to bring global policy dialogue closer to actual implementation on the ground.
14 - شدد المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، في قراره 2006/49، على أمور منها ضرورة تعزيز التفاعل بين المنتدى والكيانات الإقليمية ذات الصلة بالغابات، مع قيام المناطق الإقليمية بتقديم إسهامات مركَّزة للمنتدى، وهو ما سيضيف بعداً هاما لعمل المنتدى ويعكس الاهتمام المتجدد الذي تعلقه الدول الأعضاء على تقريب الحوار العالمي الدائر بشأن السياسات المتعلقة بالغابات من التنفيذ الفعلي على أرض الواقع.

26. Emphasizes the importance of strengthening political commitment and action at all levels to implement effectively the sustainable management of all types of forests and to achieve the global objectives set out in the present resolution by requesting the Forum to conclude and adopt at its seventh session a non-legally binding instrument on all types of forests, and, in order to facilitate the work of the Forum in this regard;
26 - يؤكد أهمية تعزيز الالتزام السياسي والعمل على جميع الأصعدة من أجل كفالة الفعالية في إدارة الغابات بجميع أنواعها على نحو مستدام وتحقيق الأهداف العالمية المبينة في هذا القرار، وذلك بأن يطلب إلى المنتدى أن يقوم في دورته السابعة بإبرام صك غير ملزم قانونا بشأن الغابات بجميع أنواعها واعتماد ذلك الصك، وتيسيرا لعمل المنتدى في هذا الصدد.

23. The Forum may wish to consider the method of work and a multi-year programme of work for the coming years that would envision and realign the Forum's work and direction for future actions.
23 - وقد يرغب المنتدى في أن ينظر في طريقة العمل وفي وضع برنامج عمل متعدد السنوات للسنوات المقبلة يمكن أن يضع تصورا لعمل المنتدى وتوجهه ويعيد تنظيمه من أجل الأعمال التي سيضطلع بها في المستقبل.
