Pursuant to that resolution, the High-level Political Conference for the purpose of signing the United Nations Convention against Corruption was held in Merida, Mexico, from 9 to 11 December 2003.

The United Nations Convention against Corruption, adopted by the General Assembly in its resolution 58/4, had been opened for signature at the High-level Political Conference for the purpose of signing the Convention, held in Merida, Mexico, from 9 to 11 December 2003.
وفُتح باب التوقيع على اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الفساد، التي اعتمدتها الجمعية العامة في قرارها 58/4، في المؤتمر السياسي الرفيع المستوى لغرض التوقيع على الاتفاقية، الذي عقد في ميريدا، المكسيك، من 9 إلى 11 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2003.

5. In its resolution 57/169, the General Assembly accepted with appreciation the offer made by the Government of Mexico to host a high-level political conference for the purpose of signing the convention; and decided to convene the conference for a period of three days before the end of 2003.
5- وقبلت الجمعية العامة مع التقدير، في قرارها 57/169، العرض المقدّم من حكومة المكسيك لاستضافة مؤتمر سياسي رفيع المستوى لغرض التوقيع على الاتفاقية؛ وقررت عقد هذا المؤتمر لمدة ثلاثة أيام قبل نهاية عام 2003.

I have the honour to transmit to the members of the General Assembly the report of the High-level Political Conference for the purpose of signing the United Nations Convention against Corruption, which was prepared in accordance with General Assembly resolution 58/4 of 31 October 2003, for information and follow-up, in particular with the objective of supporting the early entry into force of the Convention.
يشرّفني أن أحيل إلى أعضاء الجمعية العامة، للعلم والمتابعة، تقرير المؤتمر السياسي الرفيع المستوى لغرض التوقيع على اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الفساد، الذي أُعد عملا بقرار الجمعية العامة 58/4 المؤرخ 31 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2003، لا سيما بهدف دعم بدء نفاذ الاتفاقية في موعد مبكّر.
