1. Decides that an evaluation of the effectiveness of the Convention should be undertaken in accordance with paragraph 7 of article 15 of the Convention at the eleventh meeting of the Conference of the Parties;

The current version of the electronic system for reporting has been revised based on the comments received from parties on their experiences in using the system and in view of the use of the national reports as one element in undertaking an evaluation of the effectiveness of the Convention pursuant to Article 16. There are six sections in the format:

At its first meeting, the Conference of the Parties of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants in paragraph 1 of its decision SC-1/13 agreed to initiate arrangements to provide it with comparable monitoring data on which to base its evaluation of the effectiveness of the Convention and requested the Secretariat is subsequent paragraphs:
4 - ووافق مؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية استكهولم بشأن الملوثات العضوية الثابتة، خلال اجتماعه الأول، في الفقرة 1 من مقرره اتفاقية استكهولم - 1/13 على الشروع في ترتيبات للتزود ببيانات الرصد المقارنة التي يستند إليها في تقييمه لفعالية الاتفاقية وطلب إلى الأمانة في فقرات تالية ما يلي:

(i) To request the Secretariat to develop terms of reference and a schedule for the completion the first evaluation of the effectiveness of the Convention for consideration by the Conference of the Parties at its third meeting;
(ط) يطلب إلى الأمانة أن تضع اختصاصات وجدول زمني للانتهاء من التقييم الأول لفعالية الاتفاقية لكي ينظر فيها مؤتمر الأطراف خلال اجتماعه الثالث؛

Annex I to the present note contains further information on a possible process to prepare for an evaluation of the effectiveness of the Convention by the Conference of the Parties at its eleventh meeting in 2012.
3 - ويحتوي المرفق الأول() لهذه المذكرة معلومات إضافية عن عملية يمكن أن يتبعها مؤتمر الأطراف لإعداد تقييم لفعالية الاتفاقية في اجتماعه الحادي عشر في 2012.

(c) Propose further activities or pilot programmes, as appropriate, that may assist the Conference of the Parties in conducting at its eleventh meeting an evaluation of the effectiveness of the Convention,
(ج) اقتراح أنشطة أو برامج تجريبية أخرى، حسب الاقتضاء، يمكن أن تساعد مؤتمر الأطراف في إجراء تقييم لفعالية الاتفاقية في اجتماعه الحادي عشر؛

(b) The preparation of further activities or pilot programmes, as appropriate, that may assist the Conference of the Parties to conduct an evaluation of the effectiveness of the Convention and to consider possible mechanisms to enhance the effectiveness of the Convention in the light of the latest scientific, environmental, technical and economic information.
(ب) التحضير لأنشطة أو برامج تجريبية إضافية، حسب الاقتضاء، يمكن أن تساعد مؤتمر الأطراف في إجراء تقييم لفعالية الاتفاقية والنظر في آليات محتملة لتعزيز فعالية الاتفاقية على ضوء أحدث المعلومات العلمية والبيئية والتقنية والاقتصادية.
