26. Another reform under way aims to improve the procedures used to identify victims and to meet the special needs of child victims of trafficking.

32. MWCD has formulated a protocol for pre-rescue, rescue and post-rescue operations of child victims of trafficking for the purpose of commercial sexual exploitation.

73. The Committee recommends that the State party revise its Residence Act in order to remove any conditions linked to the provision of residence permits to child victims of trafficking.

The Special Rapporteur therefore finds it important to examine in his annual report different examples set up in some countries and to provide guidelines and options so as to better assist children victims of trafficking and sexual commercial exploitation, taking into consideration that their best interest should always remain the primary consideration.

125. Article 14 of the Human Trafficking Act stipulates that child victims of trafficking must be rendered assistance in compliance with national legislation and the relevant norms of international treaties to which Turkmenistan is a party.
