The Sudan has also ratified Convention 182 of the International Labour Organization concerning the Prohibition and Immediate Action for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour, which prohibits the forced or compulsory recruitment of children for use in armed conflict.
وقد صادق السودان أيضا على اتفاقية منظمة العمل الدولية رقم 182 المتعلقة بحظر أسوأ أشكال عمل الأطفال واتخاذ إجراءات فورية للقضاء عليها، التي تحظر التجنيد القسري أو الإجباري للأطفال لاستخدامهم في النـزاع المسلح.

It commended the adoption by the Sudan of the National Child Act in 2010, and requested the Government to take greater measures to prevent and prosecute acts of sexual violence and the unlawful recruitment of children for use in armed conflict.

For the purposes of that Convention, the term " the worst forms of child labour " included forced or compulsory recruitment of children for use in armed conflict (art. 3 (a)).

8. The ILO Convention (No. 182) on the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour, which prohibits forced or compulsory recruitment of children for use in hostilities, has been rapidly ratified; it entered into force on 19 November 2000 and currently has 173 States parties.

24. This includes the " forced or compulsory recruitment of children for use in armed conflict " (pursuant to Convention No. 182 of the International Labour Organization (ILO) on the Prohibition and Immediate Action for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour).

(a) All forms of slavery or practices similar to slavery, such as the sale and trafficking of children, debt bondage and serfdom and forced or compulsory labour, including forced or compulsory recruitment of children for use in armed conflict;

Pursuant to Convention No. 182 of the International Labour Organization, " the worst forms of child labour " include the " forced or compulsory recruitment of children for use in armed conflict " .

(ج) التجنيد القسري أو الإجباري للأطفال لاستخدامهم في النـزاع المسلح وقيام الميليشيات باستخدام هؤلاء الأطفال في النـزاعات المسلحة، والممارسة المتمثلة في عمل الأطفال، ولا سيما عملهم كخدم في المنازل، واستخدام الأطفال في أعمال استغلالية وخطرة، والنظام القضائي للأحداث الذي لا يتمشى مع المعايير الدولية؛

(c) The forced or compulsory recruitment of children for use in armed conflict, the use of these children in armed conflict by militias, the practice of child labour, particularly domestic labour, and the involvement of children in exploitative and hazardous labour, and a juvenile justice system not in accordance with international standards;

Noting with satisfaction recent efforts to prohibit the use of children as soldiers in violation of international law, in particular International Labour Organization Convention No. 182 (1999) on the Prohibition and Immediate Action for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour, which prohibits forced or compulsory recruitment of children for use in armed conflict,
